Cobra Gold Wireframe is a kick in the teeth for us early backers.

The original "exclusive" Cobra Mk III wireframe cost me £10, and is no longer particularly exclusive. Where do I apply for a refund of at least seven quid? Very disappointed that FD have done this. A kick in the teeth for those of us who backed the project early.

I spent over £100 on Premium Beta and "exclusive" skin (and have spent a few quid on other paint jobs). With the current sale, anyone can get the CMDR Deluxe pack and a wireframe Cobra Mk III for £19.

I love the game, but sometimes it feels like FD really don't think things through.

Theres a lot of early backers who have grievances.. That includes myself, I am still waiting for Braben to honour what I paid for.. The familiars will no doubt remind me how I'm entitled. Funny how unreasonable its become to only receive what one paid for.

The skin is the least of the problem, its the [money] thats seems to be the over riding factor. I guess rich people like to be richer.. And a certain CEO just pulled out tens of millions, but hey the game has limited resources..

In b4 the apologists get a grip on the thread..

Lol, apologist. You are silly. I have the OG wireframe, and I for one welcome our gold-tinted brethren. It's been four years, I think we can stop being exclusive about pretend spaceship paint.

I think they've thought it through pretty well. Firstly though, lets correct something, its not FD, its Braben, coz he is Frontier. He's doing very well to from what I understand which really wouldnt bother me but for the shady behavior over the years, the taking of money, and not delivering on his promises for the game.

Of course he appears happy, he has made a fortune out of us and his workforce. I know I know, I've no doubt been a naughty boy for expressing an opinion, let laughable claims of 'employee harassment' flow in...

The sensation of seeing the Gold wire frame Cobra Mk.III for the countdown was nothing a like what you suggest it was.

Don't you still have the exclusive black and white Wire Frame Cobra Mk.III livery
Everyone else can only get the black and god, so you still have your exclusivity.

You have the Rolex and everyone else the Rolix

I hate to break it to you but things don't get cheaper over time. That would be called deflation, and as all the bean counters will tell you, thats a bad thing for the 'economy'.

It's a variation of pretend spaceship paint from four years ago that unless you PVP in your C3, about 15 other human beings have ever even seen ingame unless you're doing ship selfies; and like has been pointed out, we can still rock the OG white stripes if we feel the need to be superior. You can play Seven Nation Army for extra reinforcement of the white stripes.

This is not a source of outrage over "omg peasants have looted my treasury".

EDIT: And Cosmos, go look at Steam for 5 seconds for a videogame example. Tell me how many older items never go on sale there. What? There's a sale for a 3-year-old game at 85% off? Must be bad economics going on there.

And not only that. I wonder what the LEP owners think about the latest sale prices on the base game and the deluxe pack, in comparison to what they spend to support this game lol. I think they are stuck playing for at least another 4 years, just for the case they only get their money back. Not even thinking about being in profit.. Now thats a serious kick in the teeth.
