I also use a long range pluse turret on the middle hardpoint for two reasons:
  • It's defensive - NPCs (and players) change their behavior when they're being constantly hit
  • If my shields fail, I can move to a safe distance and remain engaged from a bounty perspective

Anyone flying their MK IV in full FA-off mode?

I'm back in my beloved (yet un-engineered) MK IV and as much as I still love it flying full FA-off is, to me at least, seemingly blooming hard after flying sideys, eagles and Vipers after my save reset.

Anyone have any tips for flying FA-off in the more sluggish MK IV Cobra?

Hmm I definitely must be doing something wrong then as I learned in a vulture!!

Yeah it was twitchy and all but at least it could turn when you wanted it to. The CMIV seems such a slug...

I tried playing around in an asteroid ring earlier and seemed to be making headway.
The thing was that I was trying to fly too fast so my agility suffered a lot as I was never in the 'blue zone'.
However when I decided to have a go a friendly pirate that decided he like my nano thingies in my hold (Can't even remember when I got those!) I could not keep the speed down enough to get any form of decent agility from the boat.

At least I'm having fun with it!! MOAR PRACTICE NEEDED!!!!

O wow! Vulture is way too twitchy for me in fa off. I'll stutter fa on/off with it, but that's it.

I'm using KBAM if that makes any difference.

TBH I think if I can control the speed aspect I'll be able to eek out the most of what little agility it does have.

anyone unable to buy the cobra iv after the update?

I'm pretty sure I used to be able to buy the mkiv, but I can't find one after the update. I remember modding one a while back but then I sold it, and now I want to come back to it, but it's not in any of the stores that should have them in stock. I know you had to have bought horizons before some date way back when, and I'm pretty sure I did (so long ago now though). Just want to see if anyone else is having this issue before I submit a bug report...
