Of the people debating the value of having this "exclusive" content, I'd just like to say that it's essentially worthless tat. Cool, you payed top dollar for the DLC and got a pretty average ship that other people won't be able to get.
Personally, I'll be waiting for the DLC to go on sale later this year. I'd rather save my money than spend more for some trinket. Plus, they'll hopefully have patched the game up by then. I have plenty to do in the meantime.
I cannot believe that people still get suckered in by this kind of marketing. Sure, some people were going to buy Horizons regardless because of blind loyalty or fanboyism, but for anyone who was undecided, if this Cobra MkIV was the deciding factor that pushed you to purchase it, then you really should be asking yourself why.
I don't doubt Horizons is great content, I don't doubt that FD appreciate the support, but they do not need their fans to "defend them" from fair criticism or legitimate complaints. They're quite capable of handling their own affairs, I have no doubt.
You know, this marketing tactic is akin to someone buying a Happy Meal for the redundant plastic toy inside.
