Horizons Cobra MK VI

Hey all. Is there any way to get a Cobra MK VI other than pre-order Horizons? I have read that was the only way and have not found one in any shipyard yet. I am hoping that there is a way as I have been with the game since BETA about a year and a half now. But did not pre-order horizons. My fault if so I fully understand. But here's hoping......

It's a existing customer upgrade bonus. Basically if you own season 1 and season 2 it's available for purchase.

ok.. forgive me but i am slow... so i have been a member since BETA for ED.. does that qualify me? I did get the loyalty discount when i purchased the game, so now I am hoping that I am able to get a new cobra.. if so where does one get it...

If you were in the BETA you got the lifetime pass correct? Which would mean you would have horizons correct?

In which case you should have access to a Cobra MK.IV.

Fly to Founders World (Jameson Gateway) and you will find it in the shipyard to purchase.

not so far into BETA that I got a lifetime pass. had to buy Horizons... But did get the loyalty discount. so gonna check the founders world.. Here's hoping....

Cobra Mk IV should be available from a number of places including Wolf 406 (Hamilton Gateway) and Warninohan (Haxel Dock).

Mk IV = Mk 4

Mk VI = Mk 6 (almost certainly a typo on the part of the OP... there is no Mk VI nor Mk V)

For those that heavily criticise the Mk IV... here is a Coriolis comparison of some builds of the Cobra Mk III, Cobra Mk IV, and Viper Mk IV.

YAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well i now have a MK VI.. we will see if it is worth it or not. It has a slightly lower range as i loaded the surface vehicle.. but WTH.. lets see how she does... thank you all for the info

Enjoy! Its totally unlike the Mk3. Much slower, worse jump range but more firepower, hardpoint placement and insane internals.

Was a bit late to come back to the party but glad it all worked out.
I was going to mention since you bought horizons you as well you own both season 1 and 2 so get the Cobra. Try it for landing on planets, I found it great for strafing runs and landings but not as good in space as others have mentioned.
