I actually hoped this would happen. But by anti-smuggling groups, not by pirates. Itvmakesvzero sense again. Ah well, prepare for a 100+ page topic of everyone vs Wolfie about how code are Real Pirates, followed by a new topic started by a code member explaining why random murder is fun.

Anyway: if it bothers you just pick a different system. Nothing even special about Sothis, tons of systems offer these missions. :)

Why is it that whenever someone mentions the Code I have this funny shaking movement coming from within that makes fall off my seat and roll on the floor until I have no butt?

Maybe give CQC a try, there´s a better chance your skills are reflected in a proper way. Your lack in skills when it comes to make this whole story an enjoyable part of gameplay, especially for others, is far beyond acceptable.

Of course, I could wing up, try to fight you. But there is no point for me in doing this. And your point in doing this blockade is very far away from what a pirate would do imho. You don´t take cargo, so your rp is kind of "not-pirate-like". You attack right away, just for the fun of it. Which is ok for me, i just think it´s pretty silly.

Why not try to get better? Maybe read some books about pirates, what their job is about. I would be very happy about human pirates in game I can actually like, because I understand their motivations, maybe identify with them. But you have to do some piracy at least to be take seriously.

Chief Constable of Sothis Security Hugh Vaughan told our reporter: "Yeah, they're not that effective, but they're cheap and have a wonderful dress sense".

I just find it funny people still call their blocades roleplaying I mean has there ever been any rime or reason to their group actions or heck any consistency? Still though thanks for the heads up OP.

This is a very, very good comparison; the Trade Federation's motives and behavior in The Phantom Menace also made no sense whatsoever. But hey, if Code want to imagine they're accomplishing something and feel all "respect my autoritah!", I say let people laugh erm.. with them. Yea I didn't mean to say "at" at all :D

For those who are interested in that area should team up and kick them out.

My team is not in that area, and it has no strategic interest for us.

They're ED's muppets; not very dangerous, but man, do they deliver on entertainment value. Especially when those "public relations" threads start, with them trying to sound all official, business like. Comedy gold. Play the Benny Hill theme, get popcorn, watch the show. Can't fail.

Roleplaying? Trade Federation? they are a self declared pirate group, attacking traders for a living, they are smugglers and thieves, and now they are going against their own kind? how does that in any way compare to the Trade Federation's Blockade?

It has very little to do with RP and more.

So let me get this straight??
The Code, a bunch of pirates and smugglers, are blockading a system that is a hub for smuggling missions?
So they claiming that the only smuggling that's ok is their kind?

I think they're doing this for attention alone because no-one's paying them any attention since Hutton
