Code blockading Sothis

I think you have got "laugh at yet another daft idea from a bunch of kids" mixed up with "tut tutting over your knitting"

Almost no one here was complaining that you had or have ever had an effective blockade or any weight behind any of your threats, pretty much everyone was just having a laugh at your expense.

Code is like the Jim Cary of Elite, you make people laugh their socks off but we all feel a little guilty about laughing at the mentally challenged.

Hehehehee
Jim Carrey is pretty entertaining. Could've been Carrot top, nana.

If The Code ever does another funtime event like this, then you can either wing up and try to break the blockades/form AntiCode group #57 or you can sit n this thread like old women, tutting over your knitting.

As to the 'hur hur I never saw the Code',well it was two pilots and, hold onto your seats, space is big.

Ps, aren't we adorable?

If your gang of so called pirates ever does what they think is fun to others Cmdrs, I believe each one of us will do as they please.
You don't get to tell us what we can do or not.

As for me, I'll gladly have fun with strong role players group anytime. ;)

And yes, you are adorable ;)

I love these 'screw you, I won't tidy my bedroom' posts the most, I think.

I have yet to experience code in game but we'll aware of there gameplay style. Seeing the amount of negative comments they receive I have spent some time on the public area of there forums fully expecting (based on that I have read here over the months) to see plenty of complaint theads (of which there are a number) to be trashed talked down by the "nasty" "horrible" code, however that wasn't to be the case , I found code responses to be quite respective and constructive offering compensation in many cases where code had done "wrong"

We apologize for the disturbance at Sothis. This "blockade" was carried out by two members of The Code that initiated this operation in question without authorization. Due to the occurrence of said act was around a time frame where administrators were deep in their slumber, this was not put to an immediate stop.

They make you and your group look bad GF ... keep them under control.

EDIT:
Keep doing the "bad" stuff though - blockading the CGs; dominating systems; etc - add some drama to the game. Work on a consistent narrative that explains why you're doing what you are and people will buy into it. Consistency is key though, more so if your in-game goals align with others and you play along side people rather than just blowing everyone up :)

Your choice and that is fine, past really caring what Solo or Group players do. But still irks me they can effect Open from behind their safety wall.
Then that is exactly what should be done. What bothers my enemy is the correct course of action. You made my point for me.

Ah....these clowns again...So what's the reason for the blockade this time?

Doing stuff for absolutely no financial gain, a true pirate's calling card...........oh wait.....

Reason is the same as before, attention seeking, .
Nice to see people posting this though, so we can head to other places and not waste our time on these people..

So a band of pirates finds out about a mass movement to exploit the over priced smuggling missions out of Sothis. They move in on the booty and somehow this is seen as unusual.

I don't see anything unusual going on here.

Am I right in thinking some of you are expecting these pirates to not, act like pirates? Now that's unusual.

So, what exactly are they pirating?
High value goods?
Anything of value?
Or just killing players for the lulz?

I don't really know, I'm just curious...

This at least provides good forum drama.
About the gains, I play since beta, I always found the ships were too expensive and required too much game time once they adjusted the price to the release standards.
About CODE, I'm not a PvP player in action twitch games, so... I don't play in open. I have enough competition at work for for my daily dose, that's not what I look for in Elite.
And about the mode swapping...you don't need it to get the missions. Doing it is just forcing you to get bored instead of getting as many missions the normal way. People who do that do themselves a dis-service and they don't even realise it.

Smugglers: those pirates are criminals, they are stealing our illegal goods!
Pirates: hand over those smuggled goods, you criminals!

Both: somebody call the police! Crimes ae being commited!
Both: their crime is more criminal than ours!

Personally, having pirates at Sothis just adds to the fun of smuggling.

Hello Elite Dangerous Community,

We apologize for the disturbance at Sothis. This "blockade" was carried out by two members of The Code that initiated this operation in question without authorization. Due to the occurrence of said act was around a time frame where administrators were deep in their slumber, this was not put to an immediate stop.

We have put the "blockade" to a stop and prosecuted the two members in question.

We would like to thank the community for bringing this event to our attention.

Sincerely,

Gluttony Fang

This is an outrage, free the Sothis two!!!
