Self appointed titles are great!

The voice of the entire Universe, but you may call me Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeville.
"The voice of open" I bet you have a little home made ribbon around your waste that says that don't you?
Not at all, me and BD are BFF's. He gave me the title after I beat him in a game of tiddlywinks.

Well, honestly I think trade rank has very little to do with Dangerous part at all, heck smuggling missions are more dangerous then normal and still very profitable trading. So all this is really doing is making people need to use less time trading to get said Elite trade rank. So yeah......dunno about that, unless you mean that you become Elite when you invest x amount of hours in running back and forth with trading.Elite: For casual gamers (not Dangerous at all...)![]()

Is it something we want to do because its a damn sight more interesting than ANYTHING else 1.4 gave us. ( Including CQC which is so easy it because boring VERY quickly ) YES, Yes it is!
The correct RP for Sothis is thus:
Code are a pirate organization, it lives off pirating players. The other night I hung around the 2 CGs, and guess what? there are practically zero people doing the CGs now, everyone and his dog are at Sothis.
What is so wrong with Sothis from a pirating point of view? you have lots of traffic going in empty and leaving to scattered systems, it is almost impossible to pirate. With that said, Code is helping Elite Dangerous return to normality, we are encouraging people back to the CGs, their rare runs, their trade routes.
What is so wrong with Sothis from an overall ED point of view? when you could have a player who starts in the morning in a sidewider, and 8 hours later is flying a conda, something is very very wrong.
The Code will add balance, yes some will get through the blockade, some will boast how they live in Solo, that is not the point. There is an active blockade and ships are being removed as fast as we can (who disregard the blockade notice), last night it was around 30 ships.

Somehow I knew CQC wouldn't keep the comedy villains occupied. Give them a porta-potty and they'll still pee in the sandbox.
So the Code are in Sothis warning everyone to leave...
I was interdicted by Code in Sothis recently - by a Code CMDR who has posted already in this thread. Code gave me a chance to leave, but I decided to chance a run to the station. He plays his game, I play mine.
So, we had a 1-on-1 Asp/Asp battle (of sorts). Essentially my totally lame PVP skills allowed him to quickly drop my shields and obliterate me - and I accept that as due wholly to my lack of experience/preparation.
It was a farce from my side - managed to use a bit of chaff, tried a bit of reversing to get him in my sights - even managed a few good laser blasts, but nowhere near enough. I know about pips - I know 3/4 pips to shields is essential - when I checked, just before the demise - only 1 pip on shields. Oh yes, that reminds me - I did bring that SCB just for this type of eventuality - forgot to use it.
Thanks for the lesson. I'll be back. I'll always be in open (and sometimes in an A-rated Uber cruiser).

So, again, the blockade is for out-of-game reasons?
Threatening to grief is an interesting response to a situation where a group of players does not force the developer to change the game to suit them....
That is the actual exploit in my book, not so much that you can get high paying missions, but the fact that you can provoke mission refresh with logging, this is what needs to be fixed, missions only update when server says so. And I mean they've proven that they can update missions on the fly without needing patching or anything so if it was the missions themselves that was the problem, you'd think it'd be fixed already.
Well said.
FD have great graphics and sound teams, but their understanding of game economy and game balance is unfortunately very poor![]()
I do not see big danger here, especially if you compare with reward:heck smuggling missions are more dangerous then normal and still very profitable trading.
You might want to learn about instancing and time zones.
afaik CODE is mainly US based.
