Codex and Exploration, please enlighten me

Hello people

Forgive me my ignorance but i do not seem to understand the codex in connection with exploration.

I just came back from a 3000 ly trip out of the bubble. (I started after the new release)
After coming back i docked and sold my explo data as i always did.

The entries in the Codex (my exploration) did not change at all.

Opening the authority contact, the list of codex exploration data (vouchers) is empty.

However if I check the systems on the galaxy map the objects are tagged with my name, also the dss prospecting data is there.

can someone please enlighten me?

Many thanks!

Before trying bugreports, double-check the normal workings...

I don't have the screen in front of me, but it's roughly like this...

Go back in the codex's middle screen. Then highlight the galactic sector where you did explore. Go in stellar bodies.
If you discovered/scanned any stars or planets you should see little exclamation marks (!). Click on one of those and you should see a bit more detail, say on a class I gas giant it will say that cmdr So and So reported one in system X... But you should also see that you -confirmed- the existence of a Class 1 gas giant in system Y.

And lower, you'll have a few records for the class 1 gas giants you found since the start of 3.3, records like the smallest and largest.

Is the OP saying they have no (!) whatsoever Under celestial bodies? No confirmed finds at all?

I looked for all my AWs and ELWs. I even logged in today on my lunch break. Its still the same as my screenshots. I should be down for discovering 6 AWs from the screenshot on my road to riches route. Codex says says I discovered zero.

I just checked one of mine from earlier today. All systems tags in place for discovered and mapped however none of the ! in confirmed or reported (including biologic) show as confirmed. At the station under the authority contact/codex it shows nothing to turn in.

Maybe the latest update will fix it. Right now it doesn't seem to be working as intended as far as I know.

My codex is not changing at all. Its not just my own discoveries that are missing, the number of dicoveries on all object stay always the same. Relog doesnt help switching to solo and back doesnt help either.

To me it looks like as if the database is not updated at all.

I'm hoping at this point that this is just an issue with it taking time to update all the data from so many people doing this at once, and that it'll iron out in time.

Maybe they turned off the updates so it will not overwrite first discoveries. Theres take that was happening.

If only they had some video outlet that FD could use to let us know what they are seeing on their end/working on. ;)

You only get Codex vouchers for using the composition scanner or visiting certain normal-space points of interest.

You don't get them for just adding star or planet types to your Codex.

Yeah, scanning all the "rumored" stuff on the listed planets with the composition scanner wasn't unlocking anything in the codex for me, hence my waiting to see if it's just an issue of the system taking a while to update, before bugreporting it.

It's also acting weird for me. It doesn't seem to add any but one entry to each astronomical body category, it also keeps removing entries from the archives section. Yesterday I could see most, but not all, of the attacked and abandoned settlements I've visited and now I dont see any. On the other hand it added a vast amount of entries of visitor beacons I've travelled to.

It seems very broken to me. I'm almost at the core so I have tagged a lot of stars. Yet when I look under K class records for example, every category, smallest/greatest radius, hottest/coldest and oldest are all apparently in shinrarta dezhra.

I don't know if you have to sell your data before it will show on the codex but I've sold about 5k lys worth of data since the update. I know I must have come across more than one K class star in that trip.

Have you assigned a key/fire group to your composition scanner. You wont get any scans or codex entries if you haven't used your composition scanner to scan them.
