Cold Guests in Arctic Tundra Biome

Not at all. The cold is just a visual effect, nothing more. You can place coolers on top of that make it -40, and they will still dress like it's Hawaii. Just look at them shiver, while you are in your warm home with a cup of coffee :D

Are you sure? I was just able to play for a bit and reading guests thoughts they had the yellow :| faces and were complaining about the cold. I mean, they weren't red angry faces, but still the yellow faces. The yellow :| faces bring happiness down too no?

And yes, they're crying about an ill placed wind turbine as well, I'm working on finding it a new home lol

You are probably right, but I'm not gonna heat up the earth because the visitors are feeling cold. Planet Zoo has to find an other way to make my visitors happy. I have several animals who thrive in cold areas, and placing coolers and heaters mixed everywhere is a bit inconsistent.

You are probably right, but the guests knew about the temperature before they left home. They should have dressed better. I am not god. I am not gonna heat up earth because the people are cold :p

I dunno, guests cause lag for a lot of people. I've wondered about the hats and balloons they already carry and if that adds to it. I think that a whole new bunch of guests would have to be created for cold weather biomes. While it would be nice, I don't think it's a very high priority for the game at this point.
Visual changes to guest make very little impact on performance, the thing that hits performance is the AI, which wouldnt change at all with different clothes. I agree 100% this should be included in the DLC but as it isnt, dont really think it is a priority.

I did heat the paths when I was just starting the game, but I am slowly beginning to dislike the guests. Their constant whining, while I do everything to make the animals happy, makes me a bit nauseous. These guests want the habitats as small as possible, or they will whine about the visibility. They don't give a ......... about the animals. All they want to enjoy them comfortably. So if it's cold, why didn't they stay home and watch Zoo cam?

Yeah, not only is them crying about the cold annoying, having to heat the area with a million heaters is annoying too. And the views.. good lord, the polar bears is a prime example, 15000 square meters needed, they use the same 6000 square patch, but guests cry because they're far away. Well I'm sorry Frontier set such a huge requirement for them when they only use 1/3 of it!

This is a good point. A reskin for guests that spawn in cold biomes wouldn't cause lag, it's just extra work for Frontier. I'm changing my stance on this, it should be done, but the bugs should be fixed first.

lol, I suspect that Frontier may feel the same way about us :)

Not all happy/unhappy effects are equal in terms of the impact on the actual happiness bar.
The impact on happiness for the "-f-f-f-freezing" and "so....cold..." messages are minor, whereas the staff facility one is large. You can safely ignore the complaints about cold or heat without it having any noteable impact on the overall visitor happiness in your zoo but the staff facility one is going to have an impact.
