We're all enjoying the colonisation update and even though it is paused the half of us who have system(s) we're still enjoying it but now we're wondering what our builds are doing to our systems and how it is changing. We need a form of "status" to see what direction we need to take to gain the goal we desire. Below shows a rough draft of what I came up with.

Having a small amount of information to help us know "this is where your system is heading" in terms of secruity, wealth or development will help the player to determine what they want to build next as we know what each building has in terms of "gain" but we have no tell on how far our system is on that level. (we also need a deconstruct option)

We also need some information on why specific functions are not up and running yet such as "shipyards" without trial, error and guessing we will not know what we need to build and how far we have until we archive that goal.

With the graph, let's say "tech" is the reason you need a shipyard unlocked needing to be maxed out, you have "three arrows" left and instead of building the max level building, you could use the smaller building option to crawl that tech level to its max, this also provides a chance of building variety instead of everyone going for the biggest one, seeing the same set up per moon/planet per system, which might feel like a copy and paste.
