Colonization request

One of the most disappointing updates in the history of the game.
Elite was always one of those meditative games that working people could play. Even the community goals had a huge time limit, everyone had time to contribute. Exploration is one of those things that can go on for months. It's great for those who don't want to or can't rush somewhere.

The current update violates that. Look at this, you've got a real FIGHT over good systems in the bubble. I've even heard reports of someone being offered to buy out ownership for real money. This is simply unacceptable.
The reason is simple - good systems are scarce. All people want a good system for themselves. But those who can't afford to spend 24 hours a day in front of a computer simply don't stand a chance. Even if you set a goal to get outside the bubble, a big squadron will come in at the last minute and take away your goal at the end of the road. All of this ruins the previous gaming atmosphere. I think there will be many opponents of what I'm talking about. Many people like to overcome and win, even at the cost of their health. But not everyone wants that.

So. I respectfully request. Allow players to colonize outside the bubble (If it's critical for balance, you can only allow it to be done once. And it doesn't break the lore because there are systems like Rackham's Peak). The Galaxy is big, there everyone can find a system that suits them, without rushing, gnawing or cheating. Single players won't have to try to compete with large squadrons. Everyone will be better off for it.

Inara is your friend... I had identified several candidates prior to launch and all were taken by the time I got online last night.

I used Inara to locate a system with pristine rings, landable planets with high, metal content near my power, and, while it took some time to find it, I'm satisfied with the result.

As far as the rest of the galaxy, they want this to tie into the BGS and power play, which is good as I'd rather they build on existing systems rather than continue to make isolated, stand alone features.

There will be literally thousands of systems once the first wave of colonization finishes. I even appreciate the work others do, because I get further out from the bubble that way. No need for more systems there anyway.

So lean back, do some stuff, maybe even preload your carrier with CMM if you have one, you'll get your system once the first movers have burned out.

Has any clever person calculated / estimated how many systems there are within 15 LY of the edge of the bubble which could be colonised? An estimate should be possible based on the number of systems in the bubble and its diameter and assuming the density is isotopic.
