Colony systems changing status

Huh, complete my colonizing last night, this morning at around 11am Phoenix time everything seem ready. Went in this evening and "previously inhabited" has moved in to steal the show.

Pretty much same happening here.

Lost status as architect. Outpost is complete and I'm in the middle of a surface settlement, however there is now another colonization ship in the system that isn't mine, geared to build a t2/t3 station. It has no owner though....

Dido, 95% finished my first port, but the colonization ship no longer shows an owner.
Exactly in the same situation. Don't know if I should make the last deliver and complete (and lose the chance to give a custom name to my Coriolis, who knows), or wait. What have you finally done?

Spent 2 days building an outpost over the weekend now its as if it was always there. Also there is somebody out in a region I went through today that there is no flipping way he built all these stations in less than a week something stinks. I was looking for a good system with plenty of mining and an asteroid build available and it showed green and let me pay the 25m yet when I go there its taken so as I stared going to the surrounding systems there is an inordinate amount of structures that are built and have the in development banners on them.

Bump --- Finished my station, named it and and now it says I am not sys arch. Should I open a ticket or is this a known issue?

I'm not sure, maybe you can find something on this thread or the multitude of other created to give you an indication.

System that was under construction on 4 March has now been marked as INVALID and has removed the mission marker and any options to build additional structures.
The construction ship is still accepting resources at ~25% progress.

Has anyone seen these bugs?

  • My colony sytem: ALBUS
  • All good with the beacon deployment.
  • Completed the first small Outpost successfully, and renamed it successfully (Sister's Base).
  • Started three new construction sites, all three of them installations.
  • Completed my first installation today, a Satellite (Collins Beacon).
  • Other two installations still to go (Orbital Construction Site: Black Enterprise) (Orbital Construction Site: Mesa's Progress).
  • I quit ED
  • I return to ED
  • My colony sytem ALBUS is now showing as a "Previously Established Inhabited System", not my colony anymore, my architect status is gone.
  • Dispite of that, all previous construction work I put in the system is still there.
  • And I still can visit, and dock, and deliver goods, to the two pending installations.
  • In the map, the yellow icon that was showing before (representing I am its architect) is now gone.
I have also read about systems becoming "Invalid" for colonization, after the beacon was deployed, after colonization ship had arrived, and after goods being already delivered.

How come? Anyone else? Any tips?

The galaxy map is now showing a lot of red crosses and solid triangles (where before they were new colonies):

Thanks folks

So from what I gathered, some nihilist anti social *********** decided to find a glitch that allowed them to build a bunch of stuff without getting the resources and so, since it's the middle of the night for Fdev, they had somebody just turn the colonization system off since there's no way to know how many OTHER people know about this. So Fdev is treating this as a cognitohazard and just shut the entire system down for everyone.

Not sure about that, I have seen some new claims pop up in the last few hours. But it is annoying for anything that already exists (I do hope that construction points are "saved" by what was added to the system once this mess is resolved).

And - while aware that the risk of spreading such an exploit will not make you share details - what are your sources to that?
