I noticed last night that the variants are only showing up in Franchise mode...none of my sandbox animals have em - bit worried about that.

I think it's just for now, the update will probably sort it out.

Reading this thread has me even more excited for the update!

And I'm guessing that once the update is released, adding variants in the future will be a lot easier, too. I'd imagine that when the system is in place, it'll be a much simpler matter to introduce new variants with the free updates that come through.

I asked my fiance about that - he said that they can introduce things like that through the server without needing to update the game. All of the in-depth and offline stuff needs to be patched in with an update, so it will all be there on the 25th for all modes. Server magic is beyond me haha.
