Combat bonds don't seem to register anymore

In the last couple of days I tried to unlock the engineer Juri Ishmaak. Unfortunately I discovered that this is not possible at the moment, because combat bonds are currently not registered by the game.

And yes I did everything by the book. After registering for a Federation faction in a combat zone, the kills are accumulating credits that are paid out back at the station as they should. But neither the counter for the 50 bonds needed by Juri nor the counter in the codex under Stats/Combat will increment.I cleared several combat zones and still don't have any progress made unlocking Juri's invite after three days trying.

Juri Ishaak is apparently not unlockable at the moment.

Its 50 Combat bond tokens Not 50 in value...

So its 50 confirmed kills in a combat zone not value of 50..
You have to register per side Before you shoot a single ship... Its not just go in and kill 50 random ships...
Keep that in mind for when people confirm the kills work or not...

You only registered on your account this May 2021 so you may be new to CZ and how they work so need to post out this reminder first... If you fail to sign up you dont get combat bonds

EDO on planet bonds may also not count and it could require in space ship kills only...

Thanks for your response. I now have over 400 hours in ED under my belt and I know how CZ work. As I already claimed in my first post: I signed up to one faction every time before shooting down ships in the CZ. I killed more than 50 ships there in several runs and reclaimed the bonds at the local station after that. I tried different conflict zones in two different systems, but my kills are not registered anywhere in the game.

Some people should do conflict zones in Horizons at the moment. Could one of you please check if your counter for combat bonds in Codex/Stats/Combat goes up doing that?

You never stated what version you were playing EDO or EDH... EDO has conflict zone on planets kiliing humans not ships...
Now you have stated the version of the game and that you flying a ship not doing EDO conflict zones..
So others that are still doing the OLD engineering will be able to test if hand in still works even if the counter lies and does not go up...

Looking at my journal logs it does look like the Combat Bonds entries stopped increasing once Odyssey laumched.

I've been killing Thargoids, and have been getting CBs that were increasing the counts for both number of Bonds and Monetary gain for Bonds before the release, but they have remained static since then.

Combat Rank has still been going up as expected though.
