Yes, there was quite a bit of information on the Christmas stream and on the interview there. It was very good, even without much gameplay footage.
I, along with a number of other people distinctly heard him say “rain” when describing the differences in the suits..
Hey in the current game we have a combat . . . line? Barbell? With the totally awesome and all-caps TACTICAL gameplay involving ships+SRVs. SRVs stage ground assaults while ships provide air support. This is already in the game. They talked it up in the run up to Horizons, and even put together a teaser trailer with an SRV careening around under heavy fire while ships flew low overhead - it looked super exciting. And, since it is technically possible for a group of players to get together and fly ships+SRVs together in a coordinated choreographed scene like that, it means they were in no way lying or misrepresenting the game. Combat triangle is gonna be like that.
This is 100% what I am worried about.
What's to worry about? They said its going to be possible, so unless FD are pulling a CIG then it will be possible.
Whether it will happen is a different matter. Galaxy is big, so unless you are friends with a few likeminded people its not likely to happen organically.
Also, unless FD are improving the networking, i can guess if you get more than a few ships, SRVs, and players on foot, there will be issues.
They said SRV/ship combat would be a thing.
Let's be honest, is it- technically possible? yes- anything designed for it? anything that actually works with it?
no... not really.
I just hope that's not how odyssey turns out.
I don't know... (never done them) but aren't the surface wing missions allegedly played with both SRV & ship? They said SRV/ship combat would be a thing.
