See, I don't think anyone can really hand-on-heart confirm anything at the moment... only just recently a post suggested that bonds do nothing, and that it's only resolving CZs that matters. Definitely not standing here saying "You're wrong", just advertising caution of claiming anything as being "the single effective technique" given how chaotic things are at the moment.

Sorry I missed this. If not for the two micro ptaches in the last two weeks, I'd have disagreed and told you that I'm right and the other poster is wrong. But indeed, since the patches, nobody is sure again. Lots of changes are being made that are either not described in patch notes or the patch notes only scratch the surface of what was done.

Worth mentioining I suppose that a G5 long range MEDIUM (only medium) cannon with FORCE SHELL (and only force shell) has almost the exact same shot speed as a G5 focused or long range PA.

medium cannon = 1051, med can + FS = 876, large vanilla or efficient PA = 875. I was running that on a chief for a bit since the medium HP is off in its own world and I didn't want to tax distro. And as you stated, is an annoyance to PvP opponent when it lands (although unlikely to land all three fixed 2L+M from chief unless opponent is large or point blank).

Now will probably slap a pack hound on instead though, at the time I did not have unlocked.

This. They flat out stealth nerf'ed TLB by adding a 5 second cooldown, not sure if you saw that thread. Love or hate that change, stuff like that really should be documented.

Yep (I meant focused), check out the cannon in the middle medium slot. This only works for G5 long range medium cannon with force shell.

These were the first CZs I spend significant time in since 3.3 (I don't actually get to the CZ for 15 minutes as I'm delayed by a couple of DG2 CMDRs and top off my supplies before heading out):

I didn't see a single spec-op ship that session, even though I was getting credit for driving them off.

Came back to the same area, doing another wing massacre mission (without a wing), and was getting spec-ops essentially every instance.
