Commander <snip> in Altair - you are dead from now on

I think you struggle to distinguish between in-game and out-of-game. In game, you do whatever you like.

Out-of-game is borderline griefing. If I were to watch a person's stream to allow me to chase him through mutliple jumps with the only intention being killing him, would that be considered "fair play?". I think not. Play the game, not the out-of-game.

You did, it was the guy who you thought over heated in the T6. Gave him plenty of chance though and you were being greedy.

Hehe. Yes, that was me. I wasn't sure if I overheated it or not, but those ships do heat up quickly. I did toy briefly with engaging but tried to see how fast the t6 could jump.

Still, lesson learnt. :D

I personally would hate it if you stopped streaming, youre one of the few ED pirates that are fun to watch.

Ah. Yes. That may be true.

Out of interest, OP, did you overheat?

EDIT: I think it was true. I knocked you down to about 15%, and I noticed too late when bringing your sheilds down that your hull was <5%. Not sure if I even fired the killing shot. Somebody on the cast said that charging FSD while boosting in a T6 can be a bit toasty...

I can't actually remember what stage we were at in that engagement. I certainly wasn't going for the kill shot when you blew, so it may have been before my final ultimatum, or it may be I was going to hit you with limpets. Doesn't really matter though, you went pop, and now I am hunted.

except for the people beeing pirated, who go into solo and/or group. Then 'honorable" pirates whine that there is no one to shoot...or getting followed by bigger and badder ships

I think I did. I only just picked up the t6 to try hauling and was completing my maiden circuit. I noticed it heating up quickly when jumping anyway, so wouldn't surprise me.

I actually didn't know you were streaming that. Now that IS embarrassing for me :D

If there are a significant collection of people who would rather my stream would stay up than go down, then it may be you, sir, who is hunted.

I'm completely cool with being chased by big bad ships. It's quite fun. Use in-game methods though. Find me, take your shot, and if I get away and you can't track me, then I get away and you can't track me. None of this stream-sniping stuff.

In that case, sir, you are epic at evading. My interdiction win rate, ignoring submissions, against humans is well over 95%. The other times are mostly the sideways glitch. Actually losing in a straight-up interdiction happens extremely rarely. Pretty sure it hasn't happened in the last couple of hundred tries. Maybe more.

or just lucky :p

If its any consolation (and its probably not) he sounded genuinely surprised that you had popped.

have a go...and look at my signature. (i hope you understand latin)
Yup, I do.

Actually, I found it most entertaining the quite serious sounding disgust from your 'conda friend that I may be being stream-sniped, only to find that it has his name on the viewer list.

Anyway, this has been the most fun I've had in weeks on ED. Thanks tigga et al.

As said above, tread lightly, our paths will meet again. :D

Now to bed!

well...tigga is a real pirate to the bones. Chickens out twice and calling me a cheater...Not even watching a stream
This time - fair play to you. Cheat once though and it'll stay with you a while.

Also, I'm not entirely sure what you expect. You're flying a Pyhon. The disadvantage of the Python is that you're slow. Even if you had managed to drag me out of supercruise, I can be >2km away before you get guns on target unless I roll really bad dice on the spinning of death (assuming I don't submit, of course). Not much longer I'll be 3km away. It's like driving a tank and calling the chap speeding away in his jeep a chicken. Just because you want to fight me, doesn't mean I have to fight you, nor does it mean it's unreasble to run (eg. is every single trader who runs from me a coward? Nope, they just know a pointless fight when they see it). It's up to you to force the engagement.

In this game, bigger is not always better. Using a Python with the intention of interdicting and killing a Cobra will not get you very far.

Great comment, have some rep tigga. Watched your stream briefly the other night was interesting. especially when some guy wouldnt drop 15t of cargo because he said "it was of no use to you", ha ha, before you obliterated him as he tried to escape in his T6. Then he came back and started messaging you while some dude in a viper was all over you.

Watching the dude in the viper was a good nod to the fact size and firepower not being the be all and end all. He had the better of you in your asp, and makes me realise i have to be more careful in my asp. Smaller ships are much faster and some more agile than some of the bigger ships especially. People can come round mouthing off about their expensive ships, but you can't kill what you can't catch. if you really want to catch someone in a smaller ship, then cowboy up and jump in a viper or cobra!

dont stream then....or better. dont pirate =)

No, I still think "Don't cheat" is the better advice. I enjoy watching him stream, it's never fun watching someone cheat. If somebody can't win by fair means they should accept that they can't win. Using cheats such as stream-sniping doesn't get them the win it just makes them a cheat. Cheating and winning aren't synonyms.

I find it amusing that you think it is "cheating" to use publicly available methods of surveillance in order to find a target, when you yourself choose to broadcast that information to the universe at large. It's like those kids that videoed themselves driving dangerously in a car they did not have permission to drive and posted it to Youtube, then wondered why they were prosecuted for it.

Piracy annoys the victims. Annoyed people usually want some payback. Advertising (pun intended, lol twitch) your position just makes that easy for people.

You choose to pirate, and you choose to broadcast it. Getting "stream sniped" (or whatever the term is) is a direct and obvious result of those choices
