Commodity Market Prices = Reputation

If I was to spend the majority of time supplying two systems with commodities, would my rep for the station slowly increase over time assuming I dont take any missions? (I know missions increase rep, im talking about just buying / selling commodities)

Further on, assuming I get my rep really high with a station, will it then start to give discounted prices to me based on my high rep in the system? or is it static for everyone?

First question : if each time you sell you make a profit then elsewhere I read yes. Needs confirmation though.

Second question : I believe rep has little to do with prices but should affect missions. Commodity prices over time react to players so if you run the same 2 systems over and over the profits should dry up.

Yep, you will gain reputation in the two systems, for the faction that owns the station you're trading at.
I'm not sure if it's buying or selling that builds the rep, havent paid attention :)

Yes, you can gain reputation by trading.
Though you have to trade for at least 4 million credits with one station before achieving friendly status.

No idea about your second question.
