Except I'd have to buy all the equipment necessary to find it and mine it and then search around until I find it to mine.
I appreciate the suggestion, but I'd much rather explore my way across the sectors and buy it :)

Incidentally, with the supply/demand confusion, no-one seems to have answered your original question:
- markets refresh every ten minutes
- it's an incremental refresh, so depending on various factors [1], that might be on any particular commodity no visible change or it might be thousands of extra tonnes of supply or demand appearing or it might be hundreds of tonnes disappearing because another player traded them
- Inara's view of the markets depends on players submitting the market data to it using particular 3rd-party tools which read and relay game log files, and most people don't use them, so it might for any particular market be anywhere up to a year out of date (and will often be a few days old)

[1] Too many to list here, and it's mostly only of interest if you're RPing an economist, because you can make money off trade easily enough with a bit of common sense and experience. One more visible factor is a link to the game's political simulation, which updates roughly every 24 hours, currently at around 1600 UTC ("the tick") and can cause rather less incremental changes. Again, you'll figure out the more important effects of that with a bit of observation, they're mostly fairly intuitive.

All you need is a SRV hanger and a optional slot of 2.

Best way is to just pick one up for free at a barnacle site or Thargoid structure. They are also around in the Pleiades but for free. There is a Thargoid structure in Delphi for example.

All you need is an SRV to pick it up.
(Or you can learn to do this ;)
No, really, bring an SRV .....)
