Common sense and docking computer's

I've been away for a short while and intermittently keeping up with EDs social media pages and the usual bitter rants about station rammers, the advice to which is obvious: Obey Station Speed Limits.

Then I had a thought. The Docking computer, which many a lazy 'victim' is using runs you at speeds that are above those speed limits making you an ideal target and also results in you falling foul to idiotic AI smashing into you.

Frontier, please tweak the docking computer so it operates within station speed limits to fix the above issues.

As a sidebar I find it odd a 'legal' piece of hardware is wired to operate 'illegally'

Speed restrictions are disabled when you use a docking computer.

Weird because I've seen many DC users fall victim to the old 1% eagle hull gag.

I think the usual modus operandi to grief DC users is for an accomplice to shoot the victim first, thus disabling the docking computer, then ram.

This, If you get hit while DC is active its turn off and then the speed restriction ably again.

even if the docking computer bumps you against other ships you are ok and no fines/bounties are issued.

edit ... didnt know that shooting will disable the docking pc but shouldnt be much of an issue as you are at throttle 0 to engage the DC, more an issue when its far from station and kicks in a boost.
