Independent squadrons and initiatives took the forefront of defense against the Thargoid invasion, probably the most dire threat to the human inhabited bubble of the Galaxy and the human civilization. Like it is the essence of the founding principles of the Coalition of Independents self-organization of independent talents and groups can provide the security, efficiency and combined might major powers can and even more: it provides more benefits to both participants and Humankind as a whole. Virtually all steps taken by major powers in the Thargoid crisis so far further escalated the conflict, while the efforts and sacrifices of independents proved to be efficient in confining the Thargoid War or rescuing it's civilian victims from peril. These devoted exploits do not remain unrecognized. As the renowned war correspondent Jade Sanderlyn summarized in today's (3309. NOV 28.) GalNet news about the most important milestone in the Thargoid war so far, namely stripping the Thargoid titan Taranis of control systems:

I grab this opportunity to congratulate to those founding members of the Coalition of Independents, who spearheaded the anti-Thargoid defense, mobilized, trained and coordinated most independent pilots and lead them in Thargoid combat zones, field researched Humankind's most vital tactics and solutions in the most dangerous laboratories -Thargoid conflict zones and and toxic clouds of Thargoid Maelstroms-: the Anti- Xeno Initiative and The Hive. I would like to thank to the Independent Guaranteed Faction of The Coalition of Independents, The Hull Seals for the help to those AX pilots, who drifted to danger during their preparations to AX operations or during them.
Although they are not affiliated to the Coalition it is only proper to emphasize how grateful we are to the Defense Council of Humanity and all their contributors regardless of affiliation as well. They are shining examples of the absolutely vital role of self organization in our civilization and how essential it is in our survival. All of those groups and their participating commanders belong to those pages of the history books of Humanity that summarizes the best traits of the human race.
