And it's a poop reward at that! Just a random old/poor stat animal and a laughable amount of CC (so nothing OP needs to worry about missing out on).Because there is no common reward, it's not really a community challenge, it's just a contest and only the 3 best tiers receive a final reward for completing the challenge
I have to admit i would find a nice piece of ingame stuff even worse.
You would feel bad when you don't do the braindead grinding bullcrap then because you don't get the shiny thing.
But seriously, many people who're doing this shytty puppy mill game a couple of time will leave the game for good.
Well that might be a good thing. Maybe they think we are really enjoying them because they're still getting completed, despite the forum complaints.
And by reward, I mean a reward that everyone gets for hitting the community goal, not a reward only for the gold tier.
Because it's also a competition? They really need to make the community challenge give a community reward. It shouldn't be tier based.
They could still have the tier prizes seperate. But if the community meets the goal why does the whole community not benefit?
But is it meant to be..?Because it's also a competition?
If it wasn't meant to be why would they make greater participation increase your reward and ranking. It's also franchise mode where not only did they create a competitive market they deemed it working as intended after the beta by not changing or limiting it, same with the games pace. For those who disliked the competitive nature frontier came up with a solution and that solution wasn't modifying franchise mode but an additional mode without competition. But is it meant to be..?
Edit just to say, that is a genuine question incase I missed something along the way.

They also have the ranking as a benchmark rather than hard numbers which also increases the competitive nature of it. So I was in the second highest tier at the start of the bear event with 12 born. As others surpassed me I fell down the rankings out of the top 3 "gold" tiers even though I still had 12. People were out doing me and making my contribution less valuable like as would happen in a competition.
Problem as I see it is you have a bunch of entitled people who see the word "community" and latch on and complain that because they can afford animals it's wrong, because people are profiting it's wrong, because others do better and get more it's wrong etc etc.
Just decide what you want out of it and go for that, if it's just the clothes then once you get them move on. If it's to place then you have to keep up, as you would in any competition.
Pretty sure it was the same gist for the last 2 events and they didn't give us anything fancy. I wouldn't get your hopes up.idk it seems like it's implied that at the end, everyone gets something for participating. and yet that's not the case
I got a bonobo and 2k credits after then end of the gorilla event at tier 1. Read that someone in tier 3 got a bonobo and 500 credits. The top 3 tiers show that you get credits and an animal so it would make sense for only them to get something. It really needs to be better explained but look how well frontier communicates, no alert on steam or in game for maintenance just on twitter as they take the server's down.idk it seems like it's implied that at the end, everyone gets something for participating. and yet that's not the case
