Community Goal - 28.09.3303 - Keep Calm and Bring Drinks! - The Backstory

Bar indeed! And we can make it a dive bar too, if you want :D

There is a certain way to quickly travel 20,000 LY. It involves a certain option in the right panel and a free Sidewinder :O

I must investigate this further. A dive bar, along with the possibility of expanding other enterprises as well (I have my own business ideas as well). Yes, this all does sound interesting indeed.

What the hell else can you do other than have another shot

Thanks for your help, Commander! There are only 200 people signed up for our CG at the moment (or there were at 5 AM today, when I was finishing my last run... Don't tell the wife! :D ) and the other 2 have over a 1000 each so see what happens. These pesky pirates ain't helping for sure! :p

Still waiting (well, currently at work, but triggered it off yesterday evening) for my Dolphin to transfer to Kongga (apparently I sold off the Keelback at some point when I bought the T-7). Reading the above, what would be more beneficial: haulig in a (fast) Dolphin at 60 tons per round, or go play[1] with the pirates after I get my Vulture transferred to HIP 110028?

[1]I'd try to kill them, but my experience in that is extremely limited, so I'd settle for annoying them. Pity I don't have the iCourier engineered yet...

Definitely hauling goods :)

Here's some more details about the optimal route, for now at least. Boom states (which double the amount of available goods) will expire on Sunday/Monday IIRC, so the circumstances may change. Until then:

Ship: Asp Explorer (88 tonnes of cargo space)
Range: 48 LY empty and 40 LY fully loaded
Total profit per run: 1,761,988 Cr
Time: ~30 mins

HIP 110028 >>> Kongga (310 LY - 7 jumps) Laplace Ring (253 Ls) - Kongga Ale (24t)
Kongga >>> Epsilon Indi (146 LY - 4 jumps) Mansfield Orbiter (143 Ls) - Indi Bourbon (13t)
Epsilon Indi >>> Lave (112 LY - 3 jumps Lave Station (299 Ls) - Lavian Brandy (24t)
Lave >>> Leesti (4 LY - 1 jump) George Lucas (254 Ls) - Leestian Evil Juice (21t) + 6 tonnes of Azure Milk for extra profit
Leesti >>> HIP 110028 (262 LY - 7 jumps)

Thanks for information. It's really helpful :)

Ok, since Leesti, Lave and Epsilon Indi are in boom, I can fill my tiny hold (64 tons) doing the trip between these three stations, going the other way round, i.e.

- empty from HIP 110028 to Leesti, load up with Evil Juice and Azure Milk
- hop over to Lave, load up with Brandy
- hop down to E. Indi, sell off most of the milk there and top up to capacity with Bourbon
- then down to HIP 110028 and sell the load

With a good FSD and a small additional tank (class 2), going in this direction I can do the round in my Dolphin without refuelling. I also observed a few teabagging operations on the way, and of course my thanks to those Hussars who are providing in-system security. Saw one of you chasing off a pirate, nice work.

To everyone else: I saw a lot of Pythons on the way - but what the hick are you guys doing? I'm in the top 25% with 186 tons after three runs. Get a move on, this is ridiculous :).

Good stuff! Those Booms will be over tomorrow and Monday, so use them while they last.

P.S. nearly 600 tonnes here :)

Due to Boom state ending in Leesti, here is the new optimal route:

HIP 110028 >>> Kongga (310 LY) Laplace Ring (253 Ls) - Kongga Ale (24t)
Kongga >>> Epsilon Indi (146 LY) Mansfield Orbiter (143 Ls) - Indi Bourbon (24t)
Epsilon Indi >>> Lave (112 LY) Lave Station (299 Ls) - Lavian Brandy (24t)
Lave >>> HIP 110028 (262 LY)

Sadly, the Boom states in above systems will end tomorrow and Monday, which means the allowances will drop down. Keep that booze coming, Commanders! We are currently in the talks with factions that control other systems to see if they are OK with us inciting Boom states there, so that the allowance doubles in other systems too. While we really want to build this bar, at the same time we don't want to mess other factions' BGS either.

I think it's time to go to bed ;)

I didn't. I stayed till the very end and watched it happen. I have actually sold the last required tonne of cargo - couldn't dream of a better ending of this Community Goal.

This bar is really important to our faction, from our lore point of view. And it wasn't easy to complete this event. In addition to the fact that there were 3 CG's this week, as opposed to the usual 2, the 2.4 patch was released two days before our CG has started. We've had hostile pilots killing our ships for no reason, just to stop us from completing the goal. We've had Lockdown state incited in our faction's territory, but managed to fend it off with inciting a war and then an expansion. The Booms we prepared ended prematurely and rare booze allocation dropped quite drastically - we're talking 21 available during the Boom and then only 3 when it's ended.

It was stressfull as hell, but really worth it.

Massive thanks to all the Commanders that made it possible! Special mentions go to the TEA Bagging Cooperative, The Hutton Orbital Truckers and the EDC group - we would never made it without your help. If you don't know who these guys are - check'em out, they're all amazing communities and dedicated players.

The biggest thanks however go to the members of my faction - the Winged Hussars, who worked tirelessly all week. A lot of holidays were taken and many wives were bribed. Some of the Hussars played for over 18 hours a day and I cannot express my gratitude enough.

Fly safe Commanders and as soon as 11 Parsecs is opened, I hope to see you there. The first round is on me!

If you were in the Top 10 Commanders (not 10%) and are NOT a member of The Winged Hussars, please PM me (on these forums) a screenshot of your contribution to this Community Goal. We've had a little competition going on, as per this post.

And now excuse me. It's 5 AM and I have a job interview at 11. I oughtta get some sleep :)

Just to let you know guys - Cmdr Dirk Brabeen decided to only use half of his 20 GBP prize in the FDEV store and together we've decided to donate the other half to Special Effect charity. Very noble of him - so thank you Commander!
