I prefer minimum jump range required, personally, basically just listing the longest jump needed to make the route, and maybe the second longest too.

FYI: It's 23.88 LY to make the Crab Nebula (full route documented here), which did end up requiring some jumponium in my exploration ship, even with the tier 5 FSD range mod. :eek:

I have another one, NGC 2867 is reachable with jump mats, I must of used 15 or 16 lots to get there and back.
It's about 12,400Ly from Sol, and the central star is the Wolf Rayet GCRV 6100.

No planets inside the nebula unfortunately

Edit: Forgot to mention that a bunch of Neutron stars and White Dwarfs are nearby so less jump juice will be required in 2.2

Very nice to see that there are (or perhaps were?) still non-procedural planetary nebulae which are undiscovered. Right on, Commander!

I found it on Wikipedia when I was looking for things in the Carina constellation. I wouldn't be suprised if there were more in other directions as well.
