PvP Concept: Championship in Pirating

Hey everyone!

So I've been searching for something fun to do in game lately and came up with an idea of organising a small event.

But before I begin - I'm not a real-tru-hardcore pvp player so I need some advice and what I'll write below is just a concept, still open for changes.

Pirate "challenge":
Pirates should be good at stealing goods from trader ships.
Pirates should be focused on the cargo and not on killing ppl.
Pirates should work quick and be able to react to constantly changing situation.

The Aim of the challenge is to steal as many enemy goods as possible and defend allied goods

Teams of 4 players can take part in the contest.

Each team consists of
1 small fighter (Viper? Eagle?)
1 freighter with SLF (Keelback ? T9?)
SLF - any can do
1 medium sized pirate vessel (FDL is the meta ship so it's an option, on the other hand it could be a Python, ASP or Chieftan)

Now the rules and situation:
The challenge takes place in normal space/above planet where teams start at 10 km distance one from another.
In hold of the freighter there are 50 canisters of goods (biowaste and scrap to know which team gets what)
The task is to breach opponents cargo hold and grab as many canisters as possible.
It is forbidden to Low/High Wake.
Match ends if a Freighter is destroyed.
When match ends all hardpoints needs to be retracted and cargoholds closed
The rules of calculating the score:
Each canister of ALLIED cargo inside ALLIED freighter counts as 1 point.
Each canister of ENEMY cargo in ANY ALLIED ship counts as 50 points.
Destroyed ships does not count (you cant say that your APS HAD 45 canister just before it blew up)
It is forbidden to self-destruct ships.

What do you guys think about a fun event like that?

I like the concept. But it's a lot of specific rules that may not be needed. Set the end goal with a parameter such as each wing = 1 team. Don't try to dictate the composition of the wing.

May I firstly applaud your initiative and secondly offer two constructive concerns, as follows...?

1. Perhaps I'm being pessimistic, but I think that there's a risk, if you do organise your event, that it may be poorly attended ... unless it comes with a ton of well-publicised public endorsement by known pirate groups.

2. Either way, I think that you should personally consider joining a known pirate group and spend a few weeks learning what their tens of years (at least) of collective experience has to offer about what could make for a good event.

You need trade ships in open, when was the last time you saw more than 2.

That's not the case. Players who want to participate will have to bring their trade ship because the whole aim of the match is to steal the goods and defend your

I was thinking that a set of rules would make the match more equal and maybe more appealing to players who aren't so skilful and doesn't have the cash to bring fully eng. wing of FASes of FDLs

1.Yes - thats an event that needs some help in marketing.
2.Well I could but on the other hand, can't I just ask some experts and then just be the organizer with a set of info from the experts?
