Concerns... Are there any?

The no custom music is a huge disappointment especially for someone like me who always made soundtracks and playlists for my parks dating all the way back to RCT3. Hopefully this is a feature they can add for PC players and it’s not a cut feature cause of console. If it is cut cause of console players then this game just seems like a big let down.
Oh gosh, I didn't even think about it being because of consoles could not use them. That would be indeed a big disappointment. I feel like they are alienating their PC players with those cut corners.

Honestly it would be a deal breaker for me as little as a feature that may seem. Nothing in this game should be cut or limited for PC players simply because console is not able to have those features.
I hate to be this person cause everything in this game is incredible other than a few other things but i’m really wishing now that they made the games separate and not together.

Maybe all of this is because of the multiplatform launch, but I really doubt it will stay like this. I have great hope that Frontier will fix all problems quoted before, and that we Pc player will have proper version without limitation.
As for now, many of us are disapointed by many decision they took, they'll surely do a thing about it.
One thing that could be very cool....is a feedback here or anywhere else really, acknowledging that they indeed intend to do something.
Because,
This Silence Is Deafening.

A lot of flat rides are missing from PC1 and they are disproportionately spinning and family thrill rides. Very disappointing not to have the booster, twister, aeronauts/balloon race, troika and octopus at the very least considering they where in PC1, the latter 4 in the base game.

Particularly baffling not to have the octopus when Aquatic is was of the main themes for PC2 as well.

My only real concern is Denuvo being present. PlanCo 1 didn't run so well in PCs above the required specs. One of my wishes is that they expand on the aquatic theme present in PlanCo 2(as we saw from videos) and add way more rides, campaigns themed around aquatic rides and other things.

I've not watched too many videos of early access play, so this may have been answered - are there barriers in the game that we can place on paths or pools? Because watch a couple videos where they used rocks along the edge of the pool and some things like a rope bridge peeps can climb, all of which looked nice but ton's of peeps walked right through them. It looked horrible. I hope they provided a way around this, I was hoping there would be a setting on individual scenery pieces that allowed/disallowed this...

Back when I played RCT3, I used to add barriers on pools, finally we are having non-enclosed pools as an option. And yes, it's horrible to see peeps walking through rocks. If Frontier added animations for peeps where they can in fact climb the rocks, it would add some quirkyness to the game.

I really try to wait until after launch before I'm adding my long list of disappointments, but...

Concerns? There are many.

Especially the lack of custom billboards and music support isn't just a concern or a disappointment, it's overshadowing all the really great stuff that PC2 does bring along, to the point that I wonder whether I'll even use Planet Coaster 2 for anything other than "playing around a bit" at this point.

Right now, I don't see myself committing to a serious long-term park project with Planet Coaster 2, without knowing that certain problems will eventually be solved (no custom media, instead there are PC2 logos on queue paths, lack of essential rides (instead we get gazillions of crazy uncommon flat rides), no glass... to name just a few. Uff.

Anyway, we might know more after Wednesday.

I think most of the concerns can be / will be dealt with in DlC or free updates - and I’m fine with that (IMO, it’s unreasonable to expect everything that was in PC1 after years of support to be in PC2 at launch).
The only thing that really concerns me, unfortunately, concerns me a LOT

Specifically, it seems much less likely that rides will be given proper physics later in development… Not having this is (IMO) a very, very, very disappointing choice… I’ll give the game a go but, if this isn’t corrected at some point I don’t see myself getting into this game as much as I’d hoped.

There are but they don't functioned in the build they played. They also stopped working in PZ, so I guess the buggy code was coppied over.

This was fine with PC1, they restarted this genre and we gave them time to fix stuff... But a lot of stuff, we asked for PC1 on day 1, we still don't have today (scaling, we asked for motors to attach objects to it, the possibilitie to attach theming to rides, water slides etc.)...
But they handled the launch different with an early access/alpha and communicated with the community.

But when you release a sequel, you should start at least at the point, where planet coaster 1 ended - with all the patches and functions, most of the assets and quality of life features and then improve it, add features, add new rides and themes.

Most of us don't want to wait another year or two, till the basic stuff is fixed again (if ever), buy multiple DLCs again, to get back the least amount of items you need, and pay full price what is more and more looking like an early access version.

And there is sooo much missing (themes, hotels, security, etc.) that this will take a long time to get it back.

This would be okay as an early access version, but they sell this as the finished version of planet coaster 2 - and that is just not acceptable for a game released 8 years after its successor.

I've pre-ordered the Deluxe (it's only about 27 GBP in my territory),
I'm disappointed to learn about No Custom Music, No Steam Workshop, and a 6000 guest cap. Plus the UI still seems a bit screwy, and more geared at console players.

What is minor thing but still annoys me, too - I really hoped to see some "grass" or grass assets. I was always using bushes and stuff and lowered it below the floor to imitate grass in PC1 - but after seeing they had grass added in planet zoo I was sure they will add it in PC2, but checked asset Videos again and there seems to be not a single grass item... And with the new scenery brush, it seems to be no brainer to add grass to the item list.

It would even be better if just had grass growing everywhere, but at least we should have some grass patches/items to add... Imagine creating grassy hills like the ones in ghost of tsushima.
And even I can create a grass patch and texture in 1-2 hours in blender as an 3d object.

Its such a shame theres alot of small yet essential things missing from PC2. I'd understand wanting to keep some things for DLC, but if their strategy is to push out scenery, features and coasters from the first game behind a paywall...eesh. I have a bad feeling this game has been rushed to help with Frontiers financial situation. Its a shame theres been no communication from them given the widespread outcry about what we've seen from content creators.

It is typical Frontier, even if they have improved in times
Noooo, maybe you weren't here on PC1 launch, but they did reply a lot. It is since the end of PC1 development that they decide to "go dark".
Since, it is not the same. The community feels abandoned. No more staff in the forum with us so we are just between ourselves, speaking to ourselves, complaining alone without knowing for sure that it serve a purpose.
I think this is the worst thing of all.

I think the biggest problem is allowing to YouTubers to show the videos on a weekend with nobody at the office to manage the reaction I case there's a crisis like we are having.

Also, Planet Zoo has 19 DLCs while PC1 has around 10, so Frontier is probably saving a lot of stuff to fill as many DlCs as possible to milk the cow (which is a shame, they should add new content not reusing basic things such as security guards, ATM, restaurants, glass panels, desert maps, snow...)

... saving a lot of stuff to fill as many DlCs as possible....

Maybe it is this. If it is, I feel like nothing in the original game should be paid for again. A sequel is meant to be an advancement on any original with totally new things in later updates. Frontier have shown this with new themes. This game is an advancement of course. Still confused at what seems to be a few odd decisions though.
