Concourse Missions

I was under the impression the missions you take on in the concourse would be somewhat nearby. My first mission I tried was for literally across the galaxy, I couldn't even plot a route to it.

I've accepted 2 mission on the concourse and cant even find them once I have finished conversation with the person. No sign of them anywhere my control panel or maps

Something is wrong here. I just looked at a mission to Exterminate Scavengers on Trakath. The reward is 383,346 CR. Not bad except Trakath is 21, 849LY away?? In my Cutter, at 36LY per jump, that would be over 600 jumps. If I could do a jump a minute (huh!!) it would take 12 hours and 7 mins. The mission times out at 7hrs 31mins!
