Connected as Ps4 User

Hello! It's been a long while since I've played me some Elite Dangerous, I used to play back on the ps4. I just bought everything on PC, and I've logged in with my old Frontier account.

So when I log in it says I'm connected as a ps4 user. Am I logging into the Ps4 servers using my PC, or am I logging into the normal PC servers? Should I make a new account?

Did you transfer your account over from PS? That is usually where the account name goes so it might be a default.
Not that I know! This is my first time installing on PC and first time playing in years. It doesn't look like anything transferred over, I boot into the FPS tutorial (which I've never seen before and isn't on PS4 right?)

If you wanted to keep your PS progress you have to ask for a transfer, otherwise it will be a fresh account. The FPS tutorial is a sign that it's the Odyssey version of the game.

Oh . Cool. Didn't even know I could transfer stuff over. I quit out before doing any of the tutorial so there's no progress on the account, maybe I'll look into the transfer stuff. But either way I'm on the PC side of server things. I did have quite a bit of in game cash I think too Thanks!

Linked to email address not PS4 acc. thats why. I have the same and it still riles me that they stopped consoles.

CDPR (Witcher 3 amongst other) are doing the opposite to FDev - they are doing dev games for Consoles first and foremost due to static HW platform and ONLY THEN porting to PC AFTER! This is the correct way - every console is EXACTLY SAME HW, unlike every PC (millions) in use with all different HW - must be a nightmare for programmers to get good graphics running at 60 - 240 FPS on millions of diff HW.
