Console VS PC Whats the difference ?

Hi all,

As many would say I am defiantly looking forward to Jurassic World Evolution, my question is if there is anyone who knows is what are the main differences from the console version to PC version. I have a Xbox One X and I want to take advantage of the power it has over my PC with 4K and HDR, I like playing roller coaster tycoon and planet coaster but couldn't imagine playing them on a console with a controller. Just thought I ask and see if anyone else is in the same boat. I have played JPGO on PC and again couldn't imagine playing them on the PS.

Many Thanks :)

Tom

I played jpog on the original xbox. I liked the controls better but liked modding on pc. It might come down to if the console controls are ok and if the graphics on pc are about as good as the xbox. If graphics are better on pc this seems like the type of game you want the best look. Mouse and keyboard isn't bad for controls. Definitely on rollercoaster games you want pc but controls aren't bad if its similar to jpog controls.

I'm trying to decide between the two as well. It would be nice to be able to play a short demo lol

Like any game, it's all dependent on the system you're packing, how you intend to play and what is most comfortable to you.

I ordered it on PC because mine should handle the game with ease. It should run better than it would on my ps4, and if I really just wanted to chillax and play it, I'll have it run through my TV, pick up a controller and kick back.

I have been considering getting the ps4 version though just to have the ability to travel with it easily.

You sound more comfortable with PC though, so for you, I would go with PC.

My pc is just above the requirements. My games run fine but most of my games are like 2012 and older. I tried rollercoaster tycoon 4 but it ran like garbage , I did read that other people had same problems with that game loading and lagging and fps dropping. I might consider upgrading my graphics but not sure if I'm farther ahead to just play this on xbox. I also know planet coaster, which frontier recently made, taxes the CPU and eats up quite a bit of ram or it lags with a big park unless you lower settings. So I am concerned about it struggling at just above minimum requirements.

From the gameplay Ive seen it looks like its built with a controller in mind, with devs even saying to use a controller on pc for flying (currently at least). I doubt there will be much difference other than the graphics for people running 4k. Ive seen some nonesense around that there stuff missing from the game, like rocks, because of console but that just seems like utter rubbish

Is the PC getting HDR support? I know it's coming on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. It's not explicitly clear if PC is getting HDR support?

The main difference is couch and tv vs sit and monitor and being able to mod and cheat with console commands.
I know i know. You can hook up a pc to the tv and sit on the couch. But its just not the same.

Me personally i prefer to game with a console laying back on the couch with a tv 55in or bigger. But thats just me. 😉

All my PCs are hooked up to TVs lol I just wonder if my pc controller might be more of a pain then the xboxone.

Lol. I'd love if the xbox could use the hotas ( is that what they are called?) Type of controllers. But that would mean sitting up instead of kicking back on the couch lol. Another benefit to pcs is being able to hotkey so many buttons on the keyboard.

I don't use hot keys. I do like to kick back. I get sick of Pc chairs fast. That's why my gaming Pc is in the living room.

Hi,

Yes, looks like i'm going to get this on Xbox if there is nothing going to be missing on the consoles :)

Thanks

The only thing you'll really miss is the possibility of any future mods if they add modding support (which I am really, really hoping they'll do, it could open up so much potential they didn't want in the base game in terms of the maps and even just style)
