This hadn't happened to be before so I was wondering if it was the type of the station or something along those lines. I recently tried to dock at a station where when I went inside my ship was constantly trying to move in a direction of the to the left of the landing pad. I tried to swim against the current so to say and if I wasn't at least 12+ in the opposite direction I would follow its current. I had no I idea what was causing it switching flight assist, and auto correction on/off to no avail. Eventually I bounced my ship against the landing pad so many times that I secured the landing. But if I had a ship maintenance guy he'd be crying over the paint job required and the possibly wasted landing gear.
