Constant drift (pitch) on new VKB Gladiator NXT stick - any ideas? [RESOLVED]

Just to note, I also use the X56 and I find those four analog dials on the throttle quite useful.

+1 on that. I use the rotaries in exactly the same way. My one caveat is the top two get a bit noisey at center detent. About once a month I have to reset the null width to eliminate the noise around the detent. Other than that - works fine.

While I can totally understand shelling out money for something that might need a quick fix, I just got an NXT EVO. To be fair I've had it about 3 hours so I can't comment on the long term, but this is SUCH a massive upgrade from the T16000 I've used (I'm on my third one, their basically trash toy joysticks) Every T16000 I've ever owned has a yaw drift to the right. Calibrated, tweeked, etc could never fix it. NXT was perfect out of the box, so much so that I really have no use for SuperCruise assist anymore!

If there is a challenge to the new stick is figuring out what to do with all the buttons! I'm still using my Thrustmaster T16000 throttle (waiting on Etsy upgrade kit) but I'm REALLY impressed with the NXT so far.

It should be noted that the EVO is much improved over the OP's model. In particular is the fact that it now uses ball-bearings in the gimbal.

Kind of makes the necro a bit pointless really.

BTW - This is from their product page for the NXT: " This is the last stock of that model ! NXT series is completely replaced by EVO product line"

Necro?

So far I love the EVO, the only thing I've noticed is that EDCardInfo doesn't seem to support it vs the previous gen. It looks like all the button numbers are different (makes sense as I believe the EVO uses a different ARM board) You get a reference card since EDCardInfo supports the NXT but its way off. The in game controls work as expected. So many options!!!

Sorry - I didn't notice that you are new to the forum ( I am long-time lurker). Resurrecting an old thread is called necromancy - necro. This wasn't that long* since the previous post but the thread referred to a different joystick to the one you have. So I did a bit of teasing, sorry if it was misguided, no offence intended.

* Nine months is not even a 1 on the necromancy index. ;)

Nah no offence taken, thanks for explaining actually. You are correct though, I've been playing Eilte since Horizons released, but that was my first post as I just got the EVO today and have been scouring the interwebs for any insight in terms of use in Elite. I just happen to stumble on this thread because my T16000 (all 3) drifted right out the box where I actually thought it was part of the game!

9 months on and I can happily say the stick is excellent and no recurrence of the fault.
