Coop activities - suggestions to show a friend fun activities?

Later today I would like to fly in a wing with a friend. He's not completely new to the game, but hasn't played it for a while and I would like to convince him diving a bit deeper into the game by showing him a few fun activties.

Any suggestions welcome, I also have a few things in mind and a few questions:

1. Wing Mining. I guess that could be fun to find a few void opals together. I would like to combine that with a wing mining mission. Are there good places for wing mining missions (or specific system states to look for)?

2. Finding new scenarios. Would be great to find a scenario without searching forever. Any tips how to achieve that? Can you actually see all scenarios with the new FSS or do you have to go to a e.g. megaship and hope a scneario spawns?

3. Fighting pirates in a RES site or CZ.

4. Are there wing missions you would recommend and that pay well? A big driver for him are missions that you can do together and pay well ;)

5. Any other fun coop acitivities that come to your mind? Last time we went to a Guardian site and farmed a few blueprints. That was really cool.

Background: I've well equipped and engineered Anaconda and can basically solo pirate wing missions. So pls feel free to also suggest "advanced" activities.

Doing surface missions together can be a good time. Skimmer and large installation datalink missions.

Raid megaships and surface bases.

Go assassinate people. Assassinations are fun for the whole family.

Go get into trouble together. It can be a lot of fun.

Also, some Elite wing missions spawn a lot of interceptors. I picked up a silver mining mission the other day that spawned 9 elite anacondas. You guys could have a good time sourcing the silver and fighting off the mission targets together.

Go check out thargoids. Plent of places to do that in the bubble now.

Head out to guardian sites and get yourself some shard cannons, then go take down thargoid scouts with them.

Piracy can be a good time. PvE piracy is fun, PvP piracy is a blast.

The new CZs have stronger NPCs, and could be a good time.

Don't just wing mine for opals and gems (as core mining is more geared as a solo activity). If you get a system with a high painite price (say 300k), you could go wing mine that together and turn over some really fast profits (everyone in the wing gets to mine the rock, for 2/3/4x the fragments to process).

All kinds of stuff to do.

Next try with another friend who is new to the game. I haven't played for a while.

What would you show a newbie with the purpose that he becomes fascinated by the game and has an incentive keep on playing (despite the initial steep learning curve)?

Are there e.g. some impressive canyon planets close to the starter system, where we could land / he tries my SLF?

No money involved except for the exploration data, but everyone needs to see the generation ships at least once.

Also the unregistered stations and stuff that don't show in system scans, they can be... fun.

Pootling around the Guardian site with the little dudes (Sentinels?) that shoot you is good fun, as well as an opportunity to collect materials for Guardian upgrades.

Randomly fly past small rocky planets and look for a nice, long ravine and have a race with each other.

Don't exactly know what you mean here. How to find them?

Thanks for the proposals! Anyone knows a canyon planet close to the starter system?

When you pop into some systems and look at the system map, sometimes there are so called unregistered or illegal installations that appear in the target panel but not on the map.
Last one I saw was one installation at war with another one 2 ls away, the first was in the rings of a gas giant. Got attacked after a couple of minutes.
Very cool.

Visit a thargoid surface site together. Getting inside one is a bit of a pain but even the approach to one is quite atmospheric. Think Alien.
