Core Mining Keeping Me From Exploration

I usually only stay in the bubble a few weeks after extensive exploring. I REALLY want to get back out in the black, but these motherloads are making it too difficult to leave. I am pulling about 90m/hr and actually having fun doing it. So much more engaging than passenger runs.

You can make lots of money exploring, can't you? Recently I heard about someone who got back after many months away and immediately earned something like 30 billion from UC!

Yeah the new mining is great, but it's not everything.

In the same boat as well. I did take a couple of days off from mining to do a small exploration run, but will be back to mining next time I log in. The pay is just too good and watching big rocks explode is just so cool.

Just the opposite here... Exploration has kept me from mining. But it’s ok. I’ve more than enough credits, and there’s nothing to spend them on out here.

Same issue here.
I had plans for a long range exploration trip after 3.3 dropped, and got side tracked with the mining.
Still using the new exploration mechanics to map out and catalog all the roid clusters I'm looking for, so at least I'm getting some use out of them. :)

Some day I'll make it out into the black, but for now it's ...make big rocks go boom! :D

Makes me wonder if the mining changes would even be a big deal if not for the high priced rng glowing rocks. Probably not imo.

It would be considered a missed opportunity, which is basically what happened in the beta, and why they rebalanced the rewards.
If it was as simple as 'more credits=more fun', then they could have just upped the payouts for all mineable materials, and forgotten about any new mining mechanics.
Engaging gameplay and rewards is what makes it enjoyable.
