Coriolis.io - A new ship builder and comparison tool

Very nice, but the font is not very readable, especially on black. Keep it for the headings, but change the text in the tool to something less decorative.

Good work!

Would it be an idea to add heat efficiency somewhere near the power plant info?
Here's a list of heat efficiencies:
http://elite-dangerous.wikia.com/wiki/Power_Plant
And maybe with some experimenting, finding an in-game measure of max heat when fuel scooping. E.g., with my Asp (from the top of my head), 5A power plant and 6A fuel scoop I get to 60% heat at scooping rate of 250.

Heat Efficiency is listed in the Power Plant section EFF: [B/C/D/E...etc], but I've love to add some more game logic etc.

This is what I get when I click your 1 Billion Anaconda Build link :

It appears that your Site requires Java, correct ?
That would explain it (not installed due to its long-standing security vulnerabilities).

No Java is used, but this is an interesting bug.. Looking into this

wow impressive. We already have a tool but this new one seems to have a better UI. I also like the jump range graphic and the compare function. Nice work, it's in my bookmarks :)

Looks nice, works well. Have a rep :)

IF you want to do something crazy, you could add picture of the ship showing all the hardpoints in their correct place. But thats just too crazy :)

Took some time to configure my standing fleet of war capable ships. Awesome comparsions. Would have liked a possiblity to compare the offensive capabilites as well thou.

Awesome with a easy link to the comparsion as well. http://goo.gl/3Ihffr

Quite nice yes. Love the save and compare feature. 1 thing I'd like though is the landing pad size for the ships..

I thought about that when I first started.. Then I thought, that can wait for the 2.0 version :p

It's on the back log. Once bug in the current version are squashed I'll get around to this.

In a few days you'll just load the site and it will magically appear. Promise.

Can't believe I forgot that.. The data is there. Just need to add it.

OK I get that this new tool has more flexibility since it can run on portable devices such as phones, is that right? If so then that has got to be a good thing I guess. And of course the screen is designed differently too - a matter of taste I suppose. But what benefit, or how is it better, than ED shipyard? Don't get me wrong - great job and all that, but not sure that it is all that much better to be honest.

Neither of these tools is actually all that user friendly. Here's just a little example.

I want to choose a Life Support module. There are factors that affect my choice. Weight, power use, and duration in this case. Click the module box on the screen and I see a list of choices but no helpful information. I have to actually choose one and see how it affects everything. Then go and choose another one to see how that affects things and hopefully remember the previous one to decide whether it is better or worse. Then look down the bottom at the ship as a whole to see what the affect has been and this requires searching around to find the appropriate numbers. Just one example.

I want to be positive - I certainly applaud your efforts - but to me the tool is just another representation of what EDS does and doesn't present anything in terms of either a revolutionary or evolutionary step forwards. It's just the same info and mechanics, presented a little differently.

What would be good would be for a design to be done based around how it would actually be used. How does a user use it, hands on? Where are they looking? What info is needed to make choices and how (wnd where) can that be best presented in an intuitive and informationally replete manner? How could colour be better utilised? (it is a little mono-chromatic and an opportunity is therefore wasted). What about fonts, font size and weight variations, and so on. It could be so much more.
