Engineers Corrosive ammunition

Incendiary will do more damage than no effect, but it will build up heat quicker on your ship. Having more than one MC with corrosive ammo is redundant.

So the incendiary effect is ontop of the multi-cannons damage? ie: It will still do the same damage to hull, but also do extra "incendiary damage" to the target?

OK, I'll try my twin medium lvl5 OC multi-cannons, one with corrosive and one with incendiary. Their goal being kinetic/hull damage! I already have 3 large pulse lasers on board for shields.

ps: I'm right in saying Thermal Shock of Pulse Lasers is cumlative? eg: Having two with that effect makes sense?

Incendiary does more damage per shot so if your Rof is equally high then more dps than corrosive BUT is mainly thermal we currently don't know the fraction so be prepared for an unpleasant surprise with npc armor plated against thermal

Corrosive lowers 25% hull resistance for every weapon that hits

My first multi-canon is corrisive, and my intent is for my second multi-cannon to be geared towards achieving as much hull damage as possible, making it "Incendiary" would actually be the wrong choice as you say it will be mainly thermal?

So given I'm not interested in "thermal damaged" from my second multi-cannon, it almost looks like given there's not other side effect that I'd be interested in, just leave it with no seconday/side effect?

I would recommend only for hull to make it a really good overcharge MC focused on damage not DPS , rof can be average.

Keep in mind in 2 weeks 2.2 will make the fraction of thermal/kinetic lower on incendiary as it should be

As many things in ED there is no definitive answer if you can handle the heat and have enough ammo to fire in pairs go with incendiary if you fight a lot of enemies with mirror armor you may have a problem and i have a video when i was run out of corrosive ammo; burst,beams did not help either

Due to the reduced ammo on Corrosive, I am probably going to change my overcharged Corrosive for an extra ammo Corrosive. Depends on how many mc you have if this makes sense, with just 2 it is not probably worthwhile, but i have 5 so i think it is.
 
Does the size of weapon matters on the effect of the corrosive shell?
The damage increase caused by corrosive shell effect will be the same if the effect where caused by a small multicannon or large multicannon?
