Yup I agree, Aisling is the child of a dalliance and Ecy G seems to fit the bill as her Mother,, and Emperor Arissa the product of Adultery.
I am still not convinced that Arissa and her mother didn't kill Hengist, as he was having an affair with the Lady Lavigny but had her Husband and sons killed for treason (well her Husband died in an "accident" and her sons challenged that saying it was an assassination, and were killed as this was treason"
If the sons were his from the affair he is a kin slayer, and even if they were not, surely there would be some upset for Lady Lavigny, that might have festered and revenge just took 50 odd years.
Both Imperial Princesses are illegitimate, sadly, so the His Imperial Highness Crown Prince Harald was the last hope to keep the Duval line, as HIH Harald could have produced a legitimate Duval Heir.
I suspect the Emperors Grace was going to install HIH Harald as a Puppet emperor, has they succeeded.
Shame as I support Harald as the one true Emperor, but was not going to support radial reactionaries like the Emperors Dawn to the ends.
Well Harry is still alive, so the Duval bloodline isn't completely dried up. Emperor's Dawn or some other traditionalists could probably clone a new Duval, from his DNA. Unless the baldness treatment messed it up completely, that is.
That was a Classic story.

And it would be polticial, everything done in media is political but that doesn't mean there aren't political reasons. It seems like the natural evolution of the lore that was written with regards to gene-modding.
Also, Hamilton had people of colour playing all sorts of historical folks. Didn't bother us none.

What basically happened was a lot of lore enthusists (including me) kept pointing the whole no females can rule thing/be born to a duval/general issues with females vying for the thrown things (particularly as it was confirmed by current lore, not just old FFE/FE2 stuff) and asked for clarification for months.
This was slyly slipped into a galnet article.a few months later as an answer.
Ah~~~~ that's interesting. I kinda wish they went with it.
Oh I do hope so. Gotta love some intrigue. Keeps things spicy.

Our Eccy is dolled out in a genuine Riedquatian mousemat cloak and she's wearing gems traded recently at Scrillions of credits per gram! Eccy, (44, 24, 36, D,C,D) looks like the cat that's found the milkbottle. We quizzed Eccy about the champagne as she changed for her show at the Starclub - we can tell you it was a sight for sore eyes! "If you want high performance you use high performance fuel" she laughed attractively.
Vroom vrooooom Eccy!! We'll check out your high performance chassis anyday!!
