One thing I really loved about the Campaign was the dinosaur exchange, not only buying the dinosaurs, genomes, and eggs but selling the dinosaurs to clients was a blast as it was an objective in itself. Incubating or buying dinosaurs to cover the demand and earn higher profits was a great and fun way to earn money quickly. I understand it may be because sandbox mode lacks the cargo to contain dinosaurs that could be sold, so I was wondering if the cargo and ability to sell via the market are possible in sandbox mode.
Could the Malta DLC's dino cargo and selling dinosaurs via exchange be togglable in sandbox mode?

Yeah, I definitely had that feeling.
Back in Jpog you could sell excess fossils dug up or buy available fossils at a marked-up price in the market, I remember having to save up to get the remaining DNA of high appealing dinos from the market since the dig sites got empty to get enough DNA sample to incubate such dinosaurs.
I like how it is executed here with the dinosaur exchange as it expands the gameplay of selling your dinosaurs. It is no longer a mystery whom you are selling it, and there is a level of fun having to incubate certain dinosaurs to cover costs if things are getting tight in the bank at the risk of losing appeal. Hope this feature does get into sandbox mode.
The one thing that the fossil market of JPOG and the dinosaur exchange of JWE2 have in common is buying dinosaur DNA. Here are the differences:
- DNA of dinosaurs and other reptiles can be purchased directly from the dinosaur exchange of JWE2 especially when it comes to the desired starting species.
- Fossils and amber purchased from the fossil market of JPOG are to be extracted.
- The dinosaur exchange of JWE2 include actual dinosaurs and other reptiles along with eggs.

When I begin my attempt in making the ultimate Jurassic Park; I have also turned on research and expeditions.
I need Compsognathus as my starting dinosaur species, but the Compsognathus genome is unavailable in the dinosaur exchange.
I thought completing genomes of Struthiomimus, Lystrosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Dracorex, Muttaburrasaurus, Amargasaurus, Ceratosaurus, Wuerhosaurus, Kentrosaurus, and Nodosaurus would narrow down the genome list. When I refresh the list, the Compsognathus genome is still unavailable. It is not just Compsognathus, all the other prehistoric species other than the starting ones are unavailable in the dinosaur exchange.

Hmmmm... I think I got the same experience...
It has been a bit since I played with the dino exchange on in sandbox mode, but I recall star rating being a factor. When I reached 1 star, the same batch of early dinosaurs are available and that weirded me out. It was only when I reached the 2nd-star rating did the exchange open up to more of the roster. What star rating were you in sandbox mode?
I could try out a dino-exchange park later when I get the free time and see if I encountered a similar issue, that way I could submit it in the issue tracker if it is that drastic of a jump in roster availabilitty.
At that time in my case, the park is not open which is zero-star rating.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one who wants this, in my opinion it was disappointing that these mechanics were not in the sandbox, it was the main reason why I bought this dlc, thinking that I could use these mechanics in my sandbox park, to enrich the experience. Hopefully a lot of people will ask for it and frontier will do something about it, otherwise they are missing an opportunity to make the sandbox mode less monotonous. I also want to mention the trust indicators, which was a disappointment not to have them in the sandbox either... In general the acquisition center feels poor without all these mechanics, and without any doubt how great it would have been to move dinosaurs between sandbox islands... Frontier! Fix your DLC!
