Could we please have different colors and shapes for bookmarks?

I currently have a lot of things bookmarked. I've got things bookmarked for mining, for interstellar factors, for outfitting, for discoveries...all sorts of stuff.

And unfortunately, after a while, it gets to the point where they're basically useless because you have no idea what's there and no idea where to even start looking, and you might as well just use Inara anyway.

Could we please get a much wider range of options for bookmarks? Imagine if they could be any color and if you could pick a wide variety of icons? So you could precisely label the galaxy exactly the way you want.

That'd be nice.

Yes this would be great.

I recently formed a squadron to get some more distinguishable bookmarks, which only works in that there is a separate menu to find them, on the actual map no help at all.

The in game UI is less than amazing. Give us an API that lets us display stuff in the galmap from local tools or files so we can handle this in 3rd party tools and plot our routes directly in the galmap.

I mark Neutron Stars with Squadron Bookmarks, it's a different icon on the map. You also get different icons depending whether you put the mark on the system or something within the system (the down arrow).

Still... Clunky workarounds for what should be features.

I started losing track of my bookmarks early on and renamed them all to add some meaningful codes at the start (well, meaningful to me) - so if I'm looking for Guardian stuff I scroll down the list of bookmarked bodies until I get to e.g.,"GRD-MOD" or "GRD-WPN" at the start, if I'm looking for Odyssey engineers in Colonia I scroll down the list of bookmarked settlements until I find the set starting "ECO-". Etc etc etc.

Still have to remember which list to look in, and doesn't help at all in the GalMap obviously. And I doubt many players bought ED to enjoy a filing cabinet minigame.
