Why is there no official announcement about the ETA Frontier?

I am not normally one to defend the American pronunciation of things..... Almost invariably they are wrong :D

There are quite a few American English dialects, some of them borderline mutually unintelligible.

Still, I don't think I ever heard anyone say 'beta' with a long 'e' until Frontier.

perhaps i didnt explain....... beeta is generally a uk pronunciation...... like beetroot. (Frontier are based in Cambridge in blighty)

bayta is more American (i think) and in this instance, as it is greek alphabet then the Americans - and others who say bayta - would be grammatically correct.

on this however i am being stubborn even if i am wrong. ;)
