Never played the beta, how does it work? Do you have a normal new account and have to grind the money just as the normal game, or do you have all the money so you can actually test everything out?
The teleporting space station was a good one too, back when hitting a space station actually hurt. I lost a few ships when the station suddenly jumped .
(I miss the days when the station had teeth I think forntheb1st 12 months I lost more ships to the station than anything else
The trillion credit payouts for pax missions was best by far
Good questions, someone should write a FAQ I guess.
It's typically a snapshot of the game from a couple of weeks back, so you'll be where you were when they took it.

It's a snapshot from probably a week ish ago. Often stuff is cheaper (10%) of costs and often engineering costs are less.
Sometimes if you reset save your new Cmdr will have a whole load of cash to start.
Beta install is a separate install from your game. Everything is separate but FGS make sure you are IN beta build before you do anything crazy. You would not be the 1st to delete a Cmdr from main build by mistake.
