In other words, "shut up and put up with anything you're given". Well sorry, but like others, I have an opinion and as I've invested into this game, I will air that opinion and provide feedback.
CQC needs to be a separate entity to the main game and this the CQC ranking needs to disappear from the main game. CQC (or unreal tournament in space or Elite Olympics or Elite Gymkhana - whatever you want to call it) was not was was sold on the box. Elite was sold as you being what you want to be, whether it's an Explorer, Trader, Bounty Hunter etc. Making your own path. CQC is not part of that remit. It is a sub-game, nothing more and an arcade style one as well.
I didn't pay for this, didn't ask for it. It might be fun to play as a side option but it needs to be taken off the HUD.
I even think CQC shouldn't be in the main menu but an option on the launcher instead.
This isn't even about liking or disliking CQC. It's recognising that CQC is not part of the main game and should never ever be. This is essentially for console owners to keep their mindsets happy and trickled down to PC owners. Had Elite not been on the XBox I wonder if CQC would even exist at all.
Get on with the proper game FD. Horizons, planet landings and all that.
