Engineers Crashed Cobra Site

Here is an endless supply of ADAPTIVE ENCRYPTORS CAPTURE encoded mats:
Crashed Cobra

TL;DR - The crashed Cobra Mk III of ill-fated CMDR John Jameson can be found in the HIP 12099 system on planet 1B -54.3803, -50.3575.

I only just started to farm AEC due to my newfound interest in Plasma Accelerators. There are supposed to be other sources of AEC, such as USS, but I hate USS farming.

Another thread on this topic

It took me 30 mins to zero in on those coords (gasp) why o why don't I install the 3rd party app that makes this easy? A: because I always think this will be the last time I'll ever do this... stupid, I know.

I concur on the "last time anyway!" Haha everytime I kick myself because I am terrible at finding coordinates. It is a shame humankind lost the ability to input coordinates into their nav computers over the last 1300 years.

Good point. The ancient Egyptians might be amused at our befuddlement at their talents as well.

Down to Earth Astronomy reports that it's quicker to farm AECs at the Jameson Cobra and cross-trade for other Grade 5 data than it is to gather that other data directly. If memory serves, he reckoned it was about twice as quick to trade AECs for Datamined Wake Exceptions as to gather the latter from Famine Distribution Centres.

Very true!

To CMDR Krash: Have You made full list of data/materials there? Thanks.

Empty your adaptive encryptors capture before you go. This is the only g5 data you get. You do get other stuff but this fills up way faster than anythings else.

Then head to the mats trader and trade it for something you need.

And repeat.

Just be sure to position your SRV a few meters near the back of the crashed Cobra, in order to be able to stay on turret and scan all the 4 data points without moving, just rotating the turret.

Just visited the "JAmeson Crash Site" (as it's now called, and navigable as a planetary feature once you surface-map planetary body 1B. No more manufactured materials here. Several units of cargo (1 Beryllium, some chemical waste, some battle weapons, etc etc) but nothing int he element or manfucatured material-class.

Just an update.

Interesting story tho.

I didn't think there ever were manufactured materials at this site?

What 3rd party App ? Asking for a friend :D

http://edcodex.info/

There are several. I imagine most should be found here. I used one (audio + overlay) that was fairly easy.

But now you will find all those locations by simply mapping the planet with the DSS and it's persistent. No need for manually or assisted by 3rd parties landing to coordinates.
