Anyone else suddenly crashing when entering glide when going to a planets surface?

Have a mission to do for the E.B Mafia and I keep crashing as I enter glide when nearing the settlement I need to raid......have tried several time and crash to desktop with the "let us know what the problem is and we will look into it error window.

Sucks bad my last hour of gameplay has been reduced to this:

Looks like the eurybia blue mafia really don't want me to get friendly with Ms.Rider......

Had two freeze up crashes today.

One while sitting on the landing pad at the CG and one while coming in for a landing just before touch down.

After looking through the bug report section this morn it seem to me FDev have been away of this for at least one week perhaps more, from what I have read it MAY be possible to do E.B.M mission going to scyllia.


Yup managed one mission before 11pm EST (montreal/new york time) but since 11pm till now 12:15 am every time I start going in glide mode there's a small stutter and crash to desktop.

Description
Whenever I try to drop out of orbital cruise and start glide mode for missions in or near Eurybia to rank up for meeting Liz Rider, the game immediately crashes.

Steps to Reproduce
1. Go to Eurybia
2. Get missions from the Eurybia Blue Mafia to take down power emplacements in a nearby system
3. Fly to that system.
4. Approach the planet
5. As soon as you drop out of orbital cruise and into glide, the game will crash

See pics above and I can make a video if required.

I also was able to do eurybia mission in scllia on a body that was 200kls away.....

Not fixed and this has been ongoing at least for one week.

I kept crashing last night, I gave up after one and a half hours of trying to get it working. Before it started crashing though I was able to get a mission done for EBM in Scyllia, others from those bug reports I have linked have said they were able to do missions in Scyllia

Last night I had two crashes whilst approaching a planetary base going into glide. Totally anecdotally I managed to enter glide by not targeting the base (or anything) and the glide worked.
n=1 so might have just got lucky.

Mh... didn't tried that honestly, i've been gathering mats from many planets last days, but CMDR Space Dandy says that those CTD are happening since a week (to him, maybe is even more) im going to take a mission again and see if just landing (without targeting any base) works.-

Anyone here submitted a ticket? i just sent reports :|​

Was going to try out a few things first of all this idea here and server down for maintenance. Hopefully they will have fixed this bug with the patch.

There was this in patch notes from 3.0.4 update\released today??

Stability Fixes


  • Fixed a rare memory crash
  • Fixed a connection issue that could occur near SYNUEFE VM-D C15-10 2 A
  • Fixed a connection issue that could occur near planet surfaces
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when using the Kill Warrant Scanner
  • Fixed the tourist beacon issue where the beacons became misplaced

I assume you are playing post patch?? :eek::eek:

No this thread is from last night (EST) when I came to log in not long ago game was down for a patch, patching and logging in now to give it a try and see if it's been fixed.
