I know that many players have done this, looking for some advice.
About two weeks ago I decided to visit the Zurara. Based on advice in the forums, I used the Neutron Highway route planner, which gave what looked like a straightforward route out there, broken down into about 12 waypoints just under 1,000ly apart. My AspEx has a jump range of 31ly - so I used a 30ly jump range and 100% as the inputs to the route planner, which I thought should give me jumpable routes without the need for neutron star boosts.
It all worked well for the first 10 or so waypoints but then started breaking down. I'm now (I think) into the Rift, about 1500ly from the Zurara but the Neutron Highway targets don't work. The galaxy map can't plot routes to the targets and although I've tried manually picking stars 500, 250 and down to 100ly en route, I can't route plot to those either. I've looked into diverting to the Heisenberg Bridge, but that looks like a longer diversion than my trip so far.
In my last few sessions every system I jump into has been explored, which suggests that if an alternative to the Bridge had been found, it would be documented, and it doesn't appear to be.
The Bridge is documented but not well; EDSM says that there several jumps longer than 30ly but doesn't say how long. Anyone know?
At the moment, I'm inclined to head back to the bubble, sell my data for what I hope will be a big payday, and then engineer my Asp's FSD to get the jump range up to 40ly or more and head off in a different direction.
Additional stuff: I'm not confident (or daring) enough to try neutron boosting, and I don't have the equipment for mining jumponium.
So can I cross the Bridge in my current Asp or is the choice between an even bigger diversion or heading home this time?
