Cursor disappeared after 1.05 patch

Hello

I have tried upluging all my peripherals (mouse/keyboard/joystick) to see if its a problem my end, which doesn't seemed to have fixed it. But after the latest update, the cursor is now invisible.

This means when using the terminal port page to view the market, boards etc, i have to use a joystick to toggle around, but no cursor is present although seems to be invisible and can still select the stuff with alot of guestimation. But due to this, i can't use the galaxy map to type in system names, since i cannot select them, or navigate to it using the joystick or tab to get around this invisible cursor. Everything was working fine before the patch, but now i am cursor less.

Frustrating least to say, since i seem to be the only one with this problem after the latest patch? and cannot see or understand what has caused this?

any help would glady be appreciated, since i can't play ED if i cannot choose systems via the galaxy map to get to get around the verse? I'm not sure if its a problem my end? but seems to have only happened straight after this patch.

well sorry to say commander but i just upgraded and ran 1.05 to see but i can't recreate your problem here however I am running elite in windowed mode so you may want to try that see if it helps.

ahh thanks, yeah the best i could get to happen was to switch between the three modes, windowed actually has a likely better chance, the cursor would reapear momentually in some cases, and then just disappear again when switching panels and going back to the middle panel/bullet boards. Although if i alt tab out, it will surely disapear 100% of the time.

thank you for trying, obviously it must be somthing my end, and doesn't seem to agree with patch 1.05, unless it's sod law that it happened at the same time? all other games i play are fine, like hearts of iron, rome 2 etc

i have been trying to google the problem also, not sure if it's an old bug come back, since i was getting the same thing on the menu screen, but also in game too, tried looking through the thread, but could not fine the snip i highlighted here.

mine is also working in the buliten boards too have you recently updated direct x or things like that, that might effect how the hardware cursor is drawn?

come on commanders some one clever must have some other ideas we could try here.

The only way to fix this issue is to turn off hardware cursor in graphics settings.
Start up without rift on, turn off hardware cursor.
Restart the game with the rift on and change other settings back, viola!

ahh brilliant, will give that a try, although i must admit, im not using rift or track ir, but will still try this! thank you!
