Custom Dinosaur Skins

Well - according to what has been seen so far - it will be possible to customize (some what) skins for your dinosaurs. Some by adding various DNA from other animals. But also there is 12 difference customization based on habitat. Naturally - all 12 of the habitats are not available for any one species of dinosaur.

But I am wonder if any one else is hope to see skins from the movie series?

For example - for Velociraptor - the skins of the original JP raptors, also from Jurassic World the skins of Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. And possible some from Lost World as well.
Or for T,rex - the skins of Rexy, as well as Buck (male T.rex from Lost World).

This is exactly what BIS was talking about yesterday.
He thinks there will be movie skins, he is many times right about something, in that regard I follow his reasoning.

Yes - I have seen it a couple of already.

I am wondering it adding DNA from certain animals may also effect the coloration of the Dinosaurs. Such as for Blue's skin, she has some Monitor Lizard DNA in her genetic make up. Or in the case of the Indominus rex it whitish coloration and camouflaging abilities are stated to come from having Cuttlefish DNA in it's make up.

I'm not sure if it works this way.
I think we will only have the 12 to research and we will be able to change the gnome with one of those + the default skin makes 13 choices.
Doubtful that every dinosaur will have 13 skins and also I don't think that we will be able to make a camouflaged skin by adding cuttlefish in the gnome, still we don't know how the Indominus Rex will look.
Could it have multiple skins? I hope so, because the white skin isn't really fitting for a dinosaur.

Yeah - I didn't care for the white skin of the Indominus rex either. And IMO - it really was not needed for camouflaging either. If you look at all of various animals which can naturally camouflage in nature. Birds, Reptiles and amphibians may use as combination of brown and green tones to blend into their environment. Big cats use as combination of patterns and skin tones to blend into tall dry grasses, helping them to ambush their prey.

Also am I the one who wishes that they had based the Deinonychus in the game - on the Raptors from Isla Sorna (specifically JP3). IMO - these would be closer to what Deinonychus really looked like - and would help confirm that the raptors of Isla Nublar and Isla Sorna are in fact different species(as many fans believe).

I think we will have movie skins. My question however: to what extent?

Do I think we're going to see a skin for the Buck Tyrannosaurus of TLW? My thoughts are no, because as the name suggests, Buck is a male, and the reason he looks as he does is sexual dimorphism. This is the same with the Velociraptors. The tiger striped and quill Velociraptors are males. There's nothing to suggest males will be in the game, and I believe it's confirmed we won't get them (at launch). I'm hoping otherwise, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

What I do think we might get is the brown Velociraptor we see in the females of the first two movies. We may get the JP3 female, but I am less certain with that. The reason I am less certain is because what we've seen so far are merely changes to the color palette, and not changes to the pattern of the dinosaur. Skins at launch may just be color pattern changes.

The only skin for the Indominus Rex I would like besides it's default one would be one that showed all of it's
scars and wounds before she was taken into the water by the Mosasaurus.

Well - as seen in BIS's video - scarring of dinosaurs is definitely optional.

Still I don't doubt that for the T.rex, we will see at least 3 skins - a mottled brown One (likely the default), a green (forest) skin(similar to the Buck's from TLW) and a blackish/dark gray skin (as seen in the game trailer). Of Course there always be a few more as well.

Also Just because actual male dinosaurs won't be in the game - doesn't mean we won't see skins roughly pattern on the males for TLW, or JP3.

Like wise - we know that there is at least one greenish skin for Velociraptor - which is very similar Delta's from Jurassic World, because it has already be shown in game.

I would like to see as many movie skins as possible. Though some original skins would be nice. In the novel the Raptors were said to be a pale yellow color with brown stripes.

Not according to the JW: Fallen Kingdom trailer. In one of the trailers - we see the skeleton of the Indominus rex at the bottom of the Mosasaur lagoon.

It would be good I suppose. more options can never be bad (as long as they are options) so yeah I'd be happy to see it included, but not sure I'd go out of my way to use it myself.

I said it like that since well, I honestly liked the story of the Indominus rex as sort of a tragic antagonist and we only got to see one member of the species.
I could have word it better but I probably didn't care to check how I typed it. I didn't actually say she survived but since we only got to know only one I-Rex,
I typed it like it was the only member of her kind. I just wish they would reveal more details and story of Indy. Also her species since I want more information
on the Indominus Rex in maybe FK or in some book.

Also I would like this concept art for the Indominus Rex to be a possible skin for the I-Rex:
latest

You can find the concept art on the Jurassic Park wiki since this piece is small.

The JP3 velociraptors are great I want to have them in the game.

Well - I have said it before - I wished that Frontier had actually based their Deinonychus on the raptors from JP3. Both in looks and behavior these raptors seem to be a different species than the Velociraptor of Isla Nublar. If I recall correctly - the raptors of JP3 were about 1.65 meters/5.5 feet tall, and about 3.5-4 meters/11.5-13 feet long. So about the same length as Deinonychus.
