Custom Music

Not to say I wouldn't like custom music but some of you guys have the strangest "deal breakers" for what is arguably the best theme park simulator in the making to date.

Hahaha [big grin]

Im not denying this is the best theme park simulator by far...and i love the game. But i do think this is the biggets flaw in the game so far.

To me a ride has 3 pillars :

1. The ride itself
2. The scenery / storytelling
3. Matching music

Obviously the game has done 1 and 2 in a perfect way and the possibilities are endless. You can create a million coasters with a million layouts and a million ways to thematise it. But the music part is not there.

Once again, i love the game, but i can understand it's a dealbreaker to some. A lot of real life rides depend on their music a lot.
(just imagine "its a small world" without the music. Or Pirates without the "yo-ho yo-ho pirate's life for me") Fitting music is the cherry on the cake when it comes to giving a ride a certian atmosphere.

It's not about custom music, but something bigger than that.

If you give players a game with good content, they will be happy.
If you give players a game with tools to import their own content, they will be happier.

I hope this is something they have understood at Frontier, but all these topics on the forum, and everywhere else about : the ability to add your own music, the ability to import your own 3D models, the ability to create your own brand or logo for a shop, a restaurant or a ride, the ability to import your own billboard, tv screen, etc... is all about one thing ; the reappropriation of the game by the players. The only way to bring your own personal touch. The "building tool" can be as powerful as they want, nothing can beat the import of personal content (except perhaps offer both)

The game can be great (what it is already), the game can be absolutly extraordinary (what it can become at the release), but it remains a "simulation game", AND on the PC market, so it will never be finished without the UGC support. (In the broadest sense: music, sounds, models, animations, textures, pictures, videos, ...)

It's just when you buy a beautiful and expensive house, without your decoration, it's just a very expensive and beautiful house, not yours.

Yeah, custom music makes everything so much better! Please do it Devs, this missing would be very sad!
The coolest thing for rides would be a "play continusouly" or "play after ride starts" option so we can make either atmospheric or ride music! :)
