Custom setups for T.Flight Hotas X and Xbox 360 (Reference sheets)
//Edit: 20.12.2015 - Update for v2.01
New update with SRV controll scheme. This is first release and looks for me like good and ergonomic, but I need more time for tests.
I split printable reference card for Ship and SRV for better understanding, but I tried make control the same.
SRV steering control is doubled on stick and throttle, because this allow control your SRV during Turret mode which you can control with mouse.
Enjoy

Short story about ...
Hi Commanders,
I made for myself an advanced complete bind setups for controllers, that I use for playing Elite: Dangerous.
My setups are for ...
1. Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X
2. Microsoft XBOX 360 Controller
3. Keyboard and Mouse (5 buttons)
Why I made more than one setup?
Reason is very simple. Not every time I need to put my Joystick on the desk, especially when I go trade or explore only.
After a lot of changes and tests I want to share with you my (probably) final version.
What do I need and expect from a good setup?
My goals were to make complete, logical, ergonomical and comfortable setups.
I want to be able to use one controller for all possible ship functions, without thinking too long about what button does what.
I want to minimize accidents from unwanted key usage (with modifiers), especially during combats.
I want to have printable reference sheet, where I find all information about mapping.
I want to - after a longer game trip - put my legs on sofa and fly with only one hand on controller and the second hand on keyboard to make comfort for me (relax possition
).
I want to be able to control ED after landing on station from keyboard too, without any compromise (still near to default control settings).
I did it all
.
But remember, there is not only a one way to make a good bind setup. Everything is about your expectations and wishes.
Anyway, You must always learn basic controller mapping and after few game hours you can make your own changes, if they are necessary.
How can you find logic in my setups?
There are some examples for Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X.
Example 1: Landing gear you retract with same button like for vertical thrust, which you use for take off from landing pad. Simply push used "Shift 1" button and fly.
Example 2: You jump to SuperCruise with the same "Shift 1" + key like for boost Engine ... Of course, to HyperSpace you jump with same button too, but with "Shift 2".
Easy like cake
.
Example 3: Primary fire is on "Joy 1" button, "Shift 1+Joy 1" is button for Chaffs (Combat situation) and "Shift 2+Joy 1" Retract your Hardpoints (Non Combat situation).
Look at Reference sheets. Pictures makes better job than 1000 words
