Customisable Brick Path Colours for Greater Realism and Creativity + Concept Art

Hayo Frontier Team,

first of all, thank you for your continued work on Planet Coaster 2 with all the free Updates!
I had the chance to attend Gamescom when Planet Coaster 2 was first showcased, and it's been amazing to see how far the game has come since then.

The Game is shaping up to be a fantastic evolution of what made the original so special. The upcoming update looks incredibly good, especially with the exciting new ability to recolour glass and the various improvements to paths.

I'd like to suggest a small but impactful addition that I believe would greatly enhance realism and creative freedom: the ability to recolour the brick path.

Currently, the brick path is limited to its default red tone. However, many real-life-theme parks use brick-style paving in a wide range of colours. From sandy beige to grey, depending on the themed area, park section, or functional zone such as parking lots or backstage areas.

To illustrate this, I've attached two images to my post:
  • One showing real-life examples of brick paths in different tones, including how colour is used to different areas (like a parking layout).
  • The other is a visual concept I created by digitally recolouring the brick path in Planet Coaster 2 to show how beautifully it could work in-game.
I've also spoken with several creators in the community, and this is a feature many have been wishing for. Being able to recolour the brick path would be a natural extension of the current path system and would perfectly complement the upcoming recolourable glass feature.
It feels like the right time to make path more versatile, and this would certainly encourage even more creativity, something that lies at the heart of Planet Coaster.

Giving players the tool to better match path styles with their themes areas or realistic layouts will not only increase visual quality but also reinforce the sandbox spirit your games are loved for.

It would be a small change with a big impact. Simply enabling recolouring for an existing path type, yet opening up so many new creative possibilites.

Thank you for considering this idea. I truly believe it would be a well-received enhancement and would fit seamlessly into the direction Planet Coaster 2 is already headed.

I'd greatly appreciate it if this suggestion could be passed on to the development team, it would mean a lot to know it's been seen and considered.

Warm regards,
LordFighter
