Customisation

After the biggest complaint from the community of the original title being the lack of customisation, you decided to remove the individual tree placement...yikes. Please give us back the individual trees (for each biome ideally). The game is crying out for more customisation options whether that be trees, logs, rusted out vehicles, giant bones, park bins, water features/fountiains, water hydrants and bridges/arches etc. They were just off the top of my head.

Couldn't agree more. The lack of placeable foliage is such a huge set back and disappointment especially after it was one of the biggest complaints regarding the first game...it just seems like some things were just plain forgotten when making this game and I really hope it gets fixed.

i remain amazed at their lack of ability to add in incredibly basic things that exist in every other park builder that was ever made.

have these devs just never played a park builder, zoo tycoon type game before?

I want to love this game, i really do, but dang they are making it hard.

That's a really loaded question, considering what Frontier does. Planet Zoo and Coaster are two of the most creative inspiring games - ever.

That being said, I don't disagree with you. The first JWE released with very limited decorations and decorative foliage (zero). It was only after the community pushed enough that we eventually got them. I suspect the same will happen here, in time.

I'm not sure why this issue keeps plaguing the JWE product. It's especially disappointing considering the company it's coming from. They've proven themselves more than capable of releasing a game to unlock extreme creativity from their players.

agreed, friend. which is why its all the more confusing to me why this game has such limits and restrictions on its creative freedom, and a lack of options when they were already prevalent and available in the same companies other two prominent (and extremely well received) titles.

It just doesn't make logical sense, whats the old saying "if it's not broke, don't fix it"

the forumula was laid out for them and they chose to ignore it.

Keep asking myself that as well. Only things I could come up with is that 1. Universal is somehow involved in the whole JWE thing as well and 2. it's two different teams working on those games so JWE =/= PZ/PC. Though that still doesn't explain how things that were included in the first game after a lot of players complained about them missing, are now missing AGAIN in the second game. That is not a matter of a different team, that's simply not learning from your previous mistakes and projects...

Frankly, this is really necessary not just for creative purposes, but they were also practical for helping to manage some of the more finnicky dinos especially the sauropods and their inhumane need for trees.

Don't get me wrong, I totally appreciate the new additions such as the tables with parasols and the lights. However trying to surround these or anything for that matter with only the foliage brush tool is hard work as you are totally reliant upon RNG, theres quite the array of plants and trees in all manner of sizes that can spawn and will it land where you want it to? Probably not. Personally, most of my desire to customise is within my dinosaur enclosures themselves, as thats what I spend most of my time observing (especially from my viewing platforms). Being able to place trees of differing varieties inside really made them feel much more like my own, i miss my redwoods in my brachiosaurus exhibit. As I mentioned in my original post, having the ability to place dinosaur bones or rusted ranger/tour vehicles or smashed gyrospheres or why not some dinosaur eggs, would really help with enclosures feeling like they are customised. The rocks certainly add to that, however, I cant help but think we took a step forward with those and then a step back with the removal of individual trees. Regardless, I am still excited to see what the future holds as new additions/content/QoL only a month into the games lifecycle is promising.
